Symbiotic — a platform for working with collateral assets — has integrated its Liquid Lane service with the Centrifuge platform, designed for tokenizing and managing assets on the blockchain. As a result, investors in three tokenized funds with a total assets under management of $1.6 billion have gained the ability to receive $USDC practically instantly.
The three funds include: JAAA — AAA-rated CLO investment strategies from Janus Henderson, HYB — US high-yield bond investment strategies from New York Life Investment Management, and JTRSY — US short-term treasury bond investment strategies from Janus Henderson.
Qualified investors can receive $USDC immediately, without waiting for the completion of the standard fund share redemption process. At the same time, the ordinary redemption process continues in parallel. For JAAA and JTRSY, Liquid Lane reduces the time to receive funds from one business day (T+1) to almost instant access. For HYB, the service allows eligible investors to bypass the standard 3–5 business day wait (T+3–T+5).
Symbiotic plans to use a unified liquidity system for multiple types of RWAs at once, instead of creating separate pools for each fund. This should simplify raising financing for tokenized assets, using them as collateral, and trading them in an on-chain environment.
