Юристы заявили, что Ричардсон совершила более 450 тыс. сделок без надлежащего разрешения Томсон. Но Ричардсон отвергла обвинения, заявив, что действовала по указанию владелицы криптовалют. Контракт подруги не заключали, и все происходило на основании устных договоренностей.

В 2023 году Томсон подала в суд на Ричардсон и компанию Persistence, в токен которой (XPRT) последняя инвестировала $40 млн Томсон и, как утверждает, большую часть своих денег. Цена актива обвалилась практически до нуля, и Томсон потребовала через суд вернуть ей $25 млн, утверждая, что Ричардсон и Persistence сговорились против нее.

Upbit's strategic push may be less about immediate profit and more about preparing for future regulatory shifts.
