本文提出Rails——一种旨在实现区块链网络间高效无信任代币转移的新协议。现有无信任桥接协议依赖每笔交易的延迟消息结算,导致资本需求高昂,并迫使协议转向安全性更低、更中心化的消息解决方案。Rails通过点对点直接结算规避消息等待时间,显著提升资本效率。在点对点结算机制之上,由保证金提供者组成的开放网络可提供快于最终确认时间的执行速度。

1 引言

尽管Rollup已成为以太坊主流扩容方案,但Rollup间的互操作性仍是核心挑战。互操作性可分为两类:消息传递(链间通信能力)与资产可操作性(跨链转移资产能力)。虽然跨链消息传递技术(如状态证明和链上轻客户端)的进步改善了通信,但流动性碎片化问题依然存在。

对于共享相同安全属性和无信任消息传递的同构Rollup,资产可操作性较为简单。通过简单的销毁-铸造桥机制即可转移代币,且不会叠加安全风险。但在异构Rollup间转移资产存在根本性问题:每个异构Rollup运行于独立安全框架下,若采用销毁-铸造机制实现无信任资产转移,必然继承所有连接Rollup的累积安全风险。

强大的流动性桥接设施是实现不妥协安全性的跨Rollup代币转移的必要基础。Rails通过优化资本效率并规避现有桥接模型固有风险来满足这一需求。

2 现有桥接的局限性

当前桥接方案受限于资本效率、风险隔离和再平衡机制:

现有方案采用消息结算模式——资金需锁定至消息从链A传递到链B的整个过程。乐观Rollup的无信任消息传递耗时约7天,zk-Rollup则依赖L1检查点间隔(30分钟至12小时)。虽然可通过缩短乐观窗口加速消息传递,但会削弱安全性。要在不牺牲安全性的前提下解决资本效率问题,必须将流动性结算与底层消息结算解耦。

部分现有方案还缺乏对外部流动性提供者的风险隔离。这些方案的流动性提供者需承担网络中所有链的风险,且风险随网络扩张递增。最安全、可扩展的桥接方案必须确保外部流动性提供者仅承担其所在链的风险,并与其他链风险隔离。

现有方案在资产再平衡方面也采取次优策略:有些将再平衡外包给套利者,但依赖资本密集的流动性池;另一些则要求流动性提供者主动自行再平衡,导致效率低下并向大型参与者集中。理想方案应在不依赖大流动性池的前提下实现资产再平衡外包化。

3 Rails协议

Rails(滚动异步跨链流动性结算)是一种支持用户直接相互结算的新型桥接协议。该设计将跨链转移结算与底层消息结算分离,极大提升资本效率。

在Rails中,每笔转移包含对目标链历史转移的状态证明,使协议能滚动利用新转移的流动性释放先前冻结的资产。虚拟自动化做市商(AMM)动态调整链间汇率以维持平衡的流动性流动,无需外部流动性供给。转移在目标链生成按先进先出(FIFO)顺序释放的债权。此外,由保证金提供者/求解器组成的开放网络可满足即时结算的超快速执行需求。每条Rails路径连接两条链,多路径组合可实现高效路由。这一架构创造了跨链资产交换的无信任高效方法。

3.1 状态证明

状态证明是实现Rails资本效率的核心创新。发起转移时,流动性与指向目标链历史转移的状态证明共同存入源链。有效转移必须包含经目标链验证的有效状态证明方可提取。这使得Rails能利用源链的转移存款来释放来自目标链的转移债权。

每个状态证明虽仅引用桥接状态中的单个债权,但可应用于释放任何先前的债权。这一机制至关重要,因为债权严格按先进先出顺序释放。

为实现该机制,债权构成状态链——每个债权的唯一标识符(claim id)是其数据(如接收方、输出金额等)与前序claim id的哈希值。对任一claim id的证明即隐含对所有前序claim id的验证,因为状态链的任何变动都会导致被证明claim id的改变。

债权链通过两步确认:首先由状态证明允许债权提取,随后通过消息结算在指定债权处完成最终确认。

3.2 流动平衡

由于单向跨链转移用于释放反向转移的债权,保持双向流动长期平衡至关重要。Rails采用虚拟AMM模型动态设置链间汇率,无需外部流动性支持。

虚拟AMM曲线在路径初始化时设定,需权衡流动效率与滑点关系。较平缓曲线(代表更大虚拟流动性池)可降低转移滑点,但会导致更严重的流动失衡与更长队列;较陡峭曲线则缩短队列但增加滑点。合理设定的AMM曲线应平衡二者关系。同一资产可在两条链间建立多条采用不同曲线的路径,以适配不同规模的转移需求。

虚拟AMM无需流动性提供者,因其输出为债权凭证而非流动代币。任何虚拟流动性规模均可设定对应曲线,这消除了现有桥接所需的流动性冷启动门槛。此外,无需向流动性提供者支付AMM费用,进一步降低成本。

3.3 快速执行

为满足用户近即时结算需求,Rails引入由保证金提供者/求解者组成的开放网络,在点对点结算机制上实现快速执行。这些参与者为需即时完成的转移提供流动性并收取小额费用。通过新型或有交易机制(2023年8月首次实现于Hop Protocol v1),保证金提供者能以快于源交易最终确认的速度完成桥接转移。

或有交易允许保证金提供者指定L1区块哈希,确保仅当引用区块有效时才会执行保证金交易。通过引用源交易所在区块,保证金提供者可保证:要么源交易被确认,要么其交易回滚,从而避免资金损失。跨多链路由的转移可串联多个或有交易,确保若交易链中任一前序交易被分叉,后续交易将自动回滚。

3.4 跨链转移路由

Rails通过路径连接链——单向转移释放反向转移的债权,反之亦然。路径流量越大,债权释放越快,路径效率越高。虽然可为所有链建立直连路径,但这会分散跨链流量导致队列时间延长。

转移可通过多路径组合路由至目标链,大幅减少连接支持链所需的路径总数。该设计支持采用中心辐射模型等极简路径的链连接方案。例如:直连1000条链需499,500条路径,而中心辐射模型仅需1000条路径,显著提升资本效率。

5 与Rails交互

对终端用户而言,与Rails交互与传统桥接协议(无论是标准桥接、意图架构还是链抽象方案)体验无异。钱包、前端或后端基础设施可通过两个简单RPC调用在现有交易构建流程中创建含状态证明的Rails转移:首先从Rails合约获取最新债权,再通过目标合约验证该债权。验证通过后即可作为状态证明安全嵌入用户交易。

当链加入Rails网络后,任何代币的路径均可无许可添加。由于无需引导外部流动性,新路径创建后立即可用。

意图框架可利用Rails实现高效结算。现有跨链意图求解网络要求求解者将流动性分散至多链,并在执行意图的反向链收取费用[1]。这意味着所有求解者除本职外还需自行再平衡流动性。Rails允许求解者就地结算,使其专注单链运营而无需资产再平衡。通过Rails执行意图后,求解者立即获得同链债权所有权。债权释放时,流动性可立即复用,无需再平衡操作。

链抽象方案也可基于Rails构建。与常规桥接类似,Rails可在后台将资产转移至执行主交易的目标链(如桥接+兑换、桥接+存款等组合操作)。

6 效率与风险对比

最大吞吐量与攻击面是两个关键维度,可用于对比Rails与流动性池桥接、原子交换桥接及可信桥接等经典设计的资本效率与安全性。

流动性池桥接(Hop Protocol v1、Connext、Across v1)及其他消息结算桥接(含ERC-7683[2]或"意图桥接"实现)至少需锁定全部桥接量至消息结算完成。流动性池桥接需被动流动性提供者,但允许主动提供者在出资链结算;原子交换桥接无需被动提供者,但主动提供者需在反向链结算并自行管理流动性再平衡。这两类桥接的吞吐量均受限于资金锁定的消息时间,其特定时段内最大处理量可表示为流动性与消息时间的函数(假设时段为消息时间的整数倍):

最大处理量 = 时段 × 流动性 / 消息时间

可信桥接无此限制,因其消息传递近乎瞬时。但需引入可信中介,极大扩展攻击面。可信桥接已发生超20亿美元盗取事件[3]。其安全事件频发且严重的根本原因很简单:保护链下动态密钥远比保护不可变链上协议困难。尽管存在本质风险,可信桥接在特定时段内(仅受区块时间与大小限制)可处理近乎无限的跨链量,因其无需当前无信任桥接设计要求的消息结算锁定期。

Rails完全无信任,却实现了目前仅可信桥接具备的最佳资本效率。每笔发送的转移会释放系统中等量锁定流动性,使得单笔转移对净锁定流动性的影响为零。在特定时段内(仅受区块时间与大小限制)可处理无限量跨链交易,且不暴露可信桥接的额外攻击面。

7 结论

Rails提出了一种跨链流动性结算新范式,将桥接结算与底层消息协议解耦,在保障安全性的同时显著提升资本效率。通过状态证明与虚拟AMM流动平衡机制,Rails降低了跨链流动性成本与门槛。结合保证金提供者开放网络,Rails实现了优于最终确认时间的执行速度,提供顶级用户体验。随着Rollup持续扩张,Rails为跨链流动性结算提供了可扩展、最小化信任且高效的解决方案,助力构建更友好、更统一的以太坊生态。
