Министерство национальной безопасности США (DHS) расследует деятельность криптоплатформы Anchorage Digital, которая предоставляет институциональным клиентам финансовые услуги и инфраструктурные решения. Об этом сообщают СМИ со ссылкой на собственные источники.

По данным журналистов, подгруппа DHS, известная как El Dorado Task Force, обратилась к бывшим работникам криптобанка, чтобы узнать о «практике и политике компании».

«Содержание расследования остается неизвестным. […] Миссия этой группы заключается в разрыве и разборе транснациональных организаций, которые занимаются отмыванием денег», — говорится в заявлении.

Также в сообщении отмечается, что в 2022 году компанию обвинили в недостаточном соответствии требованиям верификации клиентов и противодействия отмыванию денег. В этом приказе было требование осуществить реформу вместе с наймом новых сотрудников.

Уже в марте 2023 года Anchorage Digital сообщила об увольнении 75 сотрудников, или около 20% персонала.

Напомним, ранее генпрокурор штата Нью-Йорк Летиция Джеймс обратилась к Конгрессу США с призывом принять законодательство по регулированию цифровых активов.
