Что еще известно? Налог на прибыль в криптовалюте в Японии в настоящий момент облагается таким же налогом, как и прочие доходы, ставка варьируется от 15% до 55%. Самая высокая может применяться к доходам свыше 200 000 иен ($1377) при соблюдении некоторых других условий. Для сравнения, прибыль от торговли акциями облагается налогом по ставке 20% только на самых высоких уровнях.

Корпоративные держатели криптовалют должны платить фиксированную ставку в размере 30% на свои активы в конце финансового года, даже если они не получили прибыль от продажи.

Как вносятся изменения в налоговую политику страны? Министерства направляют запросы о налоговой реформе в правящую партию, которая затем передает их на рассмотрение в комитет по исследованию налоговой системы и Заксобрание. Реформа становится законом только в том случае, если ее одобрят обе палаты японского правительства: Палата представителей и Палата советников.

Сторонники криптоиндустрии в Японии уже несколько лет настаивают на пересмотре национального налогового режима для цифровых активов. Японская блокчейн-ассоциация официально обратилась к правительству с просьбой снизить ставку налога на криптоактивы в 2023 году.

19 июля группа также подала запрос на проведение налоговой реформы в отношении криптоактивов на 2025 финансовый год в попытке способствовать дальнейшему росту криптосектора. Среди предложений была фиксированная ставка налога на криптовалюту в размере 20% и трехлетний вычет на покрытие убытков.
