Майнеры заработали около $3,2 млн на комиссиях за транзакции в сети биткоина во время запуска протокола Babylon 22 августа, посчитали в TheMinerMag. В течение часа пулы Antpool, Foundry USA и ViaBTC добыли в совокупности пять блоков биткоина, заработав при этом 53 BTC комиссионных.

Средняя комиссия в сети первой криптовалюты за это время поднималась выше $100. Так, по данным мемпула, медианный сбор в блоке № 857911 составил $132.

Рост комиссий совпал по времени с запуском протокола Babylon. Новый проект стремится объединить ценность биткоина и механизм стейкинга. Пользователи смогут блокировать монеты BTC в протоколе по аналогии с криптовалютами, работающими на алгоритме Proof-of-Stake.

Проект был запущен с начальным ограничением взносов в 1000 BTC на один адрес. Каждому участнику разрешено отправлять не более 0,05 BTC за одну транзакцию, что и привело к повышению активности в сети и росту комиссий во время запуска.

Как объясняют разработчики Babylon, ограничения обусловлены их желанием предотвратить участие ограниченного круга крупных игроков и создать более справедливые условия для входа в проект.
