“元宇宙”、“Web3.0”吸引了科技、商业、投资等诸多行业的关注,而区块链作为基础设施对未来形态的塑造引发了诸多讨论。

“元宇宙”、“Web3.0”吸引了科技、商业、投资等诸多行业的关注,而区块链作为基础设施对未来形态的塑造引发了诸多讨论。本文将以现存案例辅以大胆推测,浅析作为元宇宙(Web3.0)基础设施的区块链技术能够如何重塑个人身份体系、发展数字文化。

一、“元宇宙”与Web3.0

“元宇宙”作为一种新型互联网应用和社会形态,目前并无权威定义。维基百科如此描述:“元宇宙是集体的虚拟共享空间,包含所有的虚拟世界和互联网,或许包含现实世界的衍生物,但不同于增强现实。元宇宙通常被用来描述未来互联网的迭代概念,由持久的、共享的、三维的虚拟空间组成,并连接成一个可感知的虚拟宇宙。”

我初次接触“元宇宙”概念时,将其看作整合多种新技术而产生的虚实相融的开放系统,尝试了目前看来并不成熟的拆解:

其中,数字孪生形成物理到虚拟空间的映射;5G网络、云计算、边缘计算等技术可处理大量实时数据;区块链作为元宇宙的基础设施,改变了商业模式与产业组织形态、促进了资产数字化与确权、价值分配以及数据主权的回归。

更权威地,有学者将其放在互联网25年的发展历程中,给“元宇宙”一个简洁易懂的定义——Web3.0(第三代互联网)。若将技术创新对应用场景边界的拓展看作互联网发展阶段的分野,那么我们已走过Web1.0(PC互联网)时代、正处于Web2.0(移动互联网)时代、将迎来Web3.0时代。

为降低理解成本,本文暂且不加探讨地挪用此种定义,将“元宇宙”等同于Web3.0,以开展后续分析。

二、Web2.0的不挽留orWeb3.0的追求?

如果我们认为Web3.0带来的是一个实时可接入、沉浸可感的虚拟宇宙,那么用户愿意留在这里的假设是否成立?私以为这并非一种伪需求。

我尝试将现实世界中个体的活动场所按照满足需求类型的差异分为两类:设施与港湾。前者主要包括功能性纵场所,满足娱乐、购物、学习与工作等需求,是让人“释放能量”的场所,后者则更多地满足休息、饮食起居等需求,提供最大比例的归属感,是“充能”场所。在如此的世界中生存,我们的能量循环能够形成“闭环”,自给自足。

然而,纵览过去的互联网应用场景,多数在线设施的角色如电商平台、在线娱乐设施、在线工具等,均类似于前者。现实世界中后一种场所满足的需求,还很难于在线世界中被解决。从这个角度看,一旦技术创新带来的应用场景拓展到可以为用户提供足够的沉浸感与归属感(或说身份认同),Web2.0时代各大平台在移动端红利退去后争抢用户注意力份额渠道,或将被“降维打击”。

在那时,用户不再任凭平台垄断数据主权、带来信息茧房的同时攫取消费者剩余,而是收复数据主权、认同去中心化治理的组织形态,以“共识”而非“壁垒”而聚集成松散但坚韧、小而多元的社群(目前DAO的推行与社群成长正方兴未艾,正预示着可能的未来图景),形成“自给自足”的生态,我们就不得不承认Web3.0的抵达了。

若我们承认看到了Web2.0的边界,认可Web3.0总会到来的假设,便无妨探讨一下,在Web3.0时代到来后,基于区块链等基础设施能够实现的个人与社群角度的身份认同重塑与数字文化发展路径。

三、身份体系重塑

01数字形象

数字形象是自我认知在数字世界中的投射,反映了个人化的审美、个性、理想,能够在群体中激发认同感并维系共识。

以区块链应用的产物NFT为例,其开创项目加密朋克激发了当代加密艺术风潮,其历史成交量于2021年8月21日已经达到10.9亿美元。

区块链中时间戳、数字签名等提供的确权使其持有者无法被仿冒。NFT具有强产权属性,作为一种社交货币,维系着强大共识。目前许多项目或公司(Meebits、Oculus等)都设计了在自己生态中通用的数字形象,未来可使持有者在多个游戏中通行。

PFP(Profilepictures,虚拟形象)NFT在近一年的发展中占据市场主导地位,PFP社群的核心在于:基于区块链程序的组织制度设计、基于IP形象的文化共识以及基于NFT单一身份标识的利益共同体。国盛证券研报显示,NFT的发展出现了两大趋势:

一是开放版权的社区共创(为NFT带来生态和使用价值)。YugaLabs收购Cryptopunks后,将向CryptoPunksNFT持有者转让IP、商业和独家许可权。这将使CryptoPunks所有者能够基于他们的NFT创建艺术品和产品。目前热门的PFPNFT,如哔哩哔哩的“鸽德”等,都进行了版权开放。其核心价值在于:任何人都可以将他们持有的NFT用于商业或其他目的,而无需归属于原始艺术家、创始团队或创作者。允许创作者和创业者使用项目IP,能够通过网络效应为原NFT项目带来巨大价值;

二是预售金转为社区金库的DAO模式让NFT发行转从商品出售变为社区公开融资。DoodlesNFT的生态可以看作一个DAO,Doodles将初始销售的420ETH放入社区金库,二级销售收取5%费用中的一半收入进入社区金库,社区具有金库的控制权。每个DoodleNFT都拥有投票权,社区成员可以在Snapshot上投票授权,由核心成员多签以启用社区金库。这种模式被后续PFPNFT广泛复制,使得收藏品的发售从商品出售行为转向了社区公开融资行为。

02数字身份

数字身份以数字代码或区块链地址的形式记录我们在工作、生活、娱乐、投资、交易中的信息,可以理解为元宇宙中的身份证,打通了数据、信用、资产等体系。高度可信的通用数字身份是Web3.0中数字社会的基石。

现存的电子邮箱、手机号、平台账号等身份验证方式均存在无法与现实身份对应或是高度“中心化”的特点,而这些滋生了冒名诈骗、数据垄断、隐私泄露等问题,也无法打破平台间的壁垒,通用性差。

Web3.0时代,基于区块链的数字身份具有通用性、独立性、隐私性,这使得用户能够接入特定范围内的所有DAPP、自主选择数据授权、实现数字身份“可验而不可得”。例如,钱包Metamask作为基于区块链的数字身份管理器,可以支持用户使用所有以太坊DAPP;基于非对称加密技术的用户持有私钥便可以随时修改或取消自己对应用调用个人资产和数据的授权;两个机构通过区块链和隐私计算技术可以不依赖第三方平台、不从后台传输数据便验证信息的真实有效性。

四、数字文化发展

01数字文化与数字文创

在Web3.0时代,稀缺资源或许不再是物理世界中的物质性约束,而是创意。而作为其载体的NFT不仅借助区块链实现了确权,甚至可以通过链上算法实现可编程艺术品,可交互性给艺术品带来了更广阔的可能性,是加密艺术区别于传统艺术的核心之一。

加密艺术家宋婷曾用对抗生成神经网络生成能与现实世界交互的Nüwa女娲,近期还举办了沉浸式戏剧《牡丹亭RÊVE》,由人与AI协作,道具由她与AI算法一同完成,主角也是基于牡丹亭经典文本、戏剧哲学文学等语料训练出的“链上生命”NFT。

另外,国盛证券研报认为,随着NFT的发行平台和IP生成相辅相成,NFT原生市场将聚焦更多IP创作者、资金与用户,未来NFT驱动下的社群衍生出的游戏、演唱会、展览及周边创意等将吸引更多注意力。

02作为一个微不足道的参与者

不久前,作为初识元宇宙的小白,我幸运地在一次活动中尝试了数字艺术的创作,以数字科技伦理思辨与女性主义色彩为主题,与组员讨论后执笔创作了《BeWater》,并由宋婷女士mint为NFT(https://icarusart.ai/#/auction/254)。这次尝试虽然稚嫩笨拙,但让我有种难以言说的获得感,意义非凡。于是想任性在此次作业中浅记一笔于附录以留念。
