Linear Finance is a cross-chain compatible synthetic asset protocol that enables Web3 users to create, manage, and trade synthetic assets, including cryptocurrencies, commodities, and market indices. Its core components include Linear Builder, Linear Bridge, Linear Exchange, Linear Liquidator, and Linear Marketplace. The project aims to provide fair, transparent, and efficient financial services to users globally by integrating traditional finance with blockchain technology, breaking down legacy financial barriers, and offering greater financial accessibility and investment opportunities.

Linear Finance was launched in September 2020 by Kevin Tai and Drey Ng.
Kevin Tai: Co-founder and DAO member of Linear Finance; formerly VP of Structured Products at Credit Suisse APAC and BNP Paribas APAC. Holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Drey Ng: Former Head of Product at Linear; previously Chief Product Officer at Liquefy, Head of Research at Orichal Partners, and Analyst at HSBC Global Banking and Markets.
In September 2020, Linear Finance raised $1.8M in a private round led by six strategic investors: NGC Ventures, Alameda Research, Hashed, CMS Holdings, Genesis Block, and Kenetic Capital.
