What is AEVO (AEVO)

1. Project Introduction
Aevo (formerly known as Ribbon Finance) is a decentralized derivatives exchange focused on options and perpetual trading. It operates on Aevo L2 and is an Ethereum roll-up based on the OP Stack. The protocol consists of the following key components:
Aevo L2: Aevo Exchange runs on Aevo L2, an Ethereum roll-up based on the OP Stack;
Aevo Exchange: Orders on Aevo Exchange are sent to an off-chain order book but settled on the Aevo L2 chain;
In July 2023, Ribbon Finance announced a new governance proposal to fold Ribbon Finance into the affiliated Aevo derivatives exchange and make Aevo the only brand name. Ribbon Finance also plans to phase out the original RBN token and introduce a new one, AEVO. In the future, Ribbon's products will be integrated into Aevo's structured product suite, with a 1:1 token conversion from RBN and veRBN tokens to AEVO.
