Iranian President Says Without Missiles, Iran Would Be Like Gaza

On June 24, during a visit to Pakistan, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated in an interview that the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding does not include the issue of Iran's missiles, and this will never be part of future negotiations. Raisi said, "If it weren't for our missiles, Iran would have been flattened by the U.S. and Israel long ago, just like the Gaza Strip. Iran will never negotiate our defense capabilities with anyone." Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remarked that if other countries possess ballistic missiles while Iran is prohibited from having them, it constitutes a "double standard," which is unacceptable and illogical.
