Samsung Launches Industry's Fastest UFS 5.0 for Edge AI, Mass Production Begins in Q4

On June 23, Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the industry's fastest Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 5.0 solution. It achieves the highest bandwidth of 10.8GB/s, with sequential read speeds of up to 10.8 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 9.5 GB/s, more than doubling the sequential read and write speeds compared to the previous UFS 4.1 standard. The Samsung UFS 5.0 solution significantly enhances the storage and processing speeds of mobile memory while improving energy efficiency and reducing package size, providing a better edge AI experience. Samsung will begin mass production of UFS 5.0 in the fourth quarter of this year, with capacities of up to 1TB.
