On June 23, local time on the 22nd, Iran's chief negotiator and Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated that the management of the Strait of Hormuz will never revert to a pre-war state. Under the premise of adhering to international law, the Strait of Hormuz will be managed by Iran according to a mechanism established by Iran. Qalibaf mentioned that there may be some issues in the Strait of Hormuz, which is why Iran and the United States have agreed to establish a coordination center and open a hotline to more quickly resolve any issues that arise within a 30-day timeframe. He clarified that this hotline is not for approving passage permits, as the relevant permits still follow their established processes. The hotline is solely for addressing issues with vessels or emergencies.
