Santiment has signaled growth for Chainlink holders expecting bullish trends, as the company's analytical track, which monitors large investor activity, recorded a spike in whale activity over the past 24 hours, which historically has been linked to price increases.
According to a Santiment report dated August 12, 246 separate transfers worth at least $100,000 each were processed on the Chainlink network via $LINK, making it the busiest day for large transactions in the past five months.
At the time of this Cryptopolitan report, $LINK shares were trading at $8.80, which is 1.69% higher than the day before and aligns with the price stagnation trend of the past year.
Standard Chartered Bullish Amid Chainlink Fund Movements
Santiment interprets that transfers ranging from 100,000 to 10 million $LINK (from $880,000 to $8.8 million) signify significant money moving within the network. Santiment did not specify where these funds are moving from or to.
However, the signal becomes bullish as $LINK broke through a descending trend line, rising 5% on August 11 to reach the $9 mark.

Standard Chartered sees much greater upside potential for the token. In its analysis dated August 10, the company set a target price for Chainlink by the end of 2030, as well as short-term targets of $13 in 2026 and $41 in 2027.
In its forecast, Standard Chartered referenced Chainlink becoming an anchor for financial assets placed on public blockchains and a scenario where the tokenized asset market grows to approximately $4 trillion by 2028.
Chainlink Remains Popular Despite Price Lag
The price of $LINK shares has fallen by approximately 83% compared to the record high of $52.88 in May 2021, but their utility is near an all-time high.
In June, Chainlink launched the Pangea project with 47 South Korean and European banks to conduct foreign exchange settlement transactions in near real-time. Prior to this, Cryptopolitan reported that agreements were signed with DTCC, Robinhood, and asset manager Amundi. In May, DTCC confirmed that its Collateral AppChain application will run on Chainlink, with launch planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
As Cryptopolitan noted, despite all these integrations and infrastructure expansion, the price of $LINK has fluctuated between $8 and $10 for most of the year.
