I. Project Introduction

1. What Is Solv Protocol?

Solv Protocol is on-chain financial infrastructure for Bitcoin assets, aiming to integrate native BTC, custodial BTC, and other qualifying Bitcoin reserves into verifiable, composable liquidity. Its core asset, SolvBTC, serves as a multi-chain Bitcoin liquidity layer, while the associated yield-bearing assets allow users to deploy Bitcoin across different strategies without having to manage each asset in isolation.

2. How Does Solv Protocol Work?

After users deposit qualifying Bitcoin assets into the protocol, they receive SolvBTC. The protocol maintains 1:1 backing through mechanisms such as reserve classification, custody, and on-chain proofs, and publishes proof of reserves for users to verify. Different SolvBTC yield assets connect to staking, lending, trading, and institutional strategies. The protocol is also building a Staking Abstraction Layer to unify staking processes across different networks and strategies. The locked version, vSOLV, is used for long-term incentives, fee discounts, governance, and priority access to select products.

3. Who Founded Solv Protocol?

Solv Protocol was co-founded in 2021 by Ryan Chow, Meng Yan, and Will Wang, who lead the business, strategy, and technology directions respectively. As of October 2024, the project's publicly disclosed cumulative funding stood at USD 25 million. The USD 10 million Bitcoin Reserve Offering in 2025 was a Bitcoin reserve financing that uses a different accounting basis from the earlier equity and strategic funding.

4. SOLV Tokenomics

SOLV has a genesis supply of 8.4 billion tokens and a maximum supply of 9.66 billion tokens under the current framework. To build the protocol's own Bitcoin reserve, subsequent supply may be adjusted through a Bitcoin Reserve Offering subject to governance. Based on genesis supply, the allocation is: Private Investors 28.86%, Community Rewards & DAO Treasury 18%, Team & Advisors 13%, Community Airdrop 8.5%, External Community Rewards 8.5%, Ecosystem Development 8.14%, Launch Distribution 7%, Business Development 4%, Liquidity 3%, and Vesting Voucher Holders 1%. 5. Timeline of Key Milestones

2021: Solv Protocol is founded.

2024: SolvBTC and various Bitcoin yield assets expand multi-chain adoption.

January 17, 2025: The SOLV token is generated.
