Plume — a blockchain network specializing in RWA tokenization — has joined the Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group, established by DTCC, the world's largest post-trade financial markets infrastructure operator. Together with Charles Schwab, Nasdaq, and Alpaca, the company has begun work on developing industry standards for tokenized securities.
DTCC provides custody and servicing for assets with a total value exceeding $114 trillion. The company's tokenization platform is designed to integrate blockchain technology into the existing financial infrastructure without altering the current legal model for traditional securities.
Plume also detailed the security mechanisms of its network. Each transaction is verified by security partners before being permanently recorded on the blockchain. Furthermore, Kimber Transfer Agency, affiliated with the company and registered with the SEC as a transfer agent, maintains the official register of owners for tokenized securities.
DTCC plans to begin conducting the first transactions on its tokenization platform in a limited capacity in 2026, with a full-scale launch of the service scheduled for October.
