Cyprus-based fintech company Xryma Plc has announced the launch of the regulated stablecoin XrymaCoin (XREUR), backed by the euro. Following notification to the Central Bank of Cyprus, the company has published the documentation for issuing XREUR in accordance with the MiCA regulatory requirements. The public launch of XREUR is scheduled for September 3, 2026.
The issuance and circulation of the stablecoin will be handled through the Xryma platform. Private users and companies will be able to purchase XREUR via open banking payments, the European Central Bank's T2 instant settlement system, or through a business API integration.
The platform supports SEPA Instant transfers, Mastercard-based open banking services, and connectivity to the European Central Bank's settlement system. When redeeming the stablecoin, users will be able to instantly receive euros in their account or send funds to more than 60 countries with settlement by the next business day.
