QWhat is LI.FI Intents and what core services does it aim to provide?

ALI.FI Intents is an intent-based execution architecture recently launched by the cross-chain bridge protocol LI.FI. It aims to serve as an underlying execution layer providing stablecoin payments, RWA (Real World Assets) and compliant on-chain liquidity. Its primary target clients are fintech companies, neobanks, wallets, and regulated financial institutions.

QWhy has LI.FI decided to expand its business focus and what new areas is it exploring?

ALI.FI is expanding its business due to a decline in cross-chain bridge transaction volumes and a contraction in overall crypto market liquidity. Its exploration into new areas is supported by its recent $29 million funding round. The company is moving beyond being a 'liquidity transport protocol' to explore new assets, clients, and operating systems, including areas like perpetual futures, yield opportunities, prediction markets, and lending markets.

QHow does LI.FI Intents improve the user experience and lower barriers to entry for enterprises?

ALI.FI Intents provides a simplified, 'plug-and-play' execution solution. It enables precise cross-chain swaps for assets like USDC and USDT without requiring users to manage gas tokens or handle complex blockchain steps. Furthermore, it allows enterprise integration with multiple tokenized asset issuers through a unified API. Crucially, enterprise users can interact with the system without directly interfacing with a wallet, significantly lowering the technical and operational barriers for corporate adoption.

QWhat measures does LI.FI Intents implement to ensure compliance for its institutional users?

ALI.FI Intents incorporates several compliance measures. Its network consists of verified, legitimate entities. Enterprises can review and approve each order individually before it is processed by a transaction processing system (TPS), allowing them to choose which TPS they trust. Additionally, all wallets interacting with the system are screened for compliance with the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions list, adding a significant layer of regulatory safety.

QHow is the 'intent-based' architecture of LI.FI Intents analogous to a familiar technology, and what benefit does this provide?

AThe article compares the LI.FI Intents system to destination navigation in autonomous driving. In this model, an enterprise user only needs to set a financial goal or 'intent' (e.g., execute a specific cross-chain payment). The entire complex execution process—finding the best route, managing gas, interacting with different blockchains—is then handled automatically by the system. This provides the core benefit of operational efficiency and frees users from managing intricate technical details.
