Bessenter: Not worried about a sell-off of US Treasury bonds; Japanese counterparts will intervene.

01/21 08:05

U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen said on Wednesday that she is not worried about the sell-off of U.S. Treasury bonds and linked the sell-off of U.S. Treasuries to the fluctuations in Japanese government bonds, stating that she has been in contact with her Japanese counterparts to ensure they will take measures to stabilize the market. Denmark's position in U.S. Treasuries is insignificant, just like the country itself. She called on European allies to understand that Greenland needs to become part of the United States and hopes they will sit down and wait for President Trump's speech. According to the schedule released by the World Economic Forum, Trump will deliver a public speech in Davos at 21:30 Beijing time. However, Yellen stated that President Trump will arrive in Davos about 3 hours late.
