Chinese authorities have initiated criminal proceedings against Shenzhen Shikongyun Technology, one of the country's largest Filecoin mining companies, and its four executives over allegations of running an $83 million pyramid scheme. Prosecutors claim that the company exaggerated the profit prospects of the technology to lure investors into participating in mining Filecoin on its platforms.
