As of this writing, Venice traded at $18.02, up 16.4%, adding to its 91% weekly gains. At the same time, its trading volume has risen 220% to $113 million, while the market cap has surpassed $800 million, indicating bullish momentum. 

Venice AI push with Seedance 2.0 expands market reach

The Venice team has aggressively pushed for a privacy-first AI platform, with VVV as the private AI token. To achieve its goal, Venice has expanded its reach into the AI sector with its latest Seedance 2.0.

Video creators can now generate content on Seedance 2.0. The latest model further expands the Venice user base.

At the same time, user-generated fees provide a sustainable revenue model for the platform. Amid this shift,  Venice Co-founder Erik Voorhees argued that Venice.ai is now positioned to compete with other AI platforms while offering privacy and crypto, noting that, 

Venice is a private, uncensored version of ChatGPT with crypto ethos baked in.

In addition, Venice.ai integrated with GitLawb, becoming the official provider of OpenClaude. The integration gives users a private, unrestricted AI right within the coding workflow.

Base welcomes CADD, Canada’s first regulated dollar stablecoin

Canadian crypto users have long been forced into an awkward workaround: convert their loonies to US dollars, buy a USD stablecoin, then finally do something useful onchain. CADD, Canada’s first regulated Canadian dollar stablecoin, just landed on Coinbase’s Base network, and it’s designed to kill that extra step entirely.

Launched on May 4 by Tetra Digital Group, CADD is pegged 1:1 to the Canadian dollar and backed by CAD reserves. It received regulatory approval from the Alberta Treasury Board and Finance, making it not just another stablecoin experiment but a fully sanctioned financial product operating within Canada’s regulatory framework.

What CADD actually is and who’s behind it

The institutional backing here is worth paying attention to. National Bank of Canada, ATB Financial, Wealthsimple, and Shopify are all supporting the project.

Tetra Trust, the entity behind Tetra Digital Group, holds a distinction that matters in this context: it’s Canada’s first regulated digital asset custodian.

The stablecoin is currently live on three platforms: Base, the Ethereum mainnet, and Tempo. Solana integration is planned for a future date.

Why Base, and why now

Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network, has processed over 167 million transactions in agentic economies, making it one of the most active L2s in the ecosystem.

For CADD, launching on Base makes strategic sense. The network offers lower transaction costs than Ethereum mainnet while maintaining the security guarantees of Ethereum’s base layer. For a stablecoin designed to facilitate everyday transactions and 24/7 trade settlements, keeping fees low isn’t optional.

How far can VVV go amid this bullish wave?
Venice Token has experienced strong upside momentum driven by rising demand in both the AI and privacy sectors. The latest listing on Upbit further boosted this market demand.

For that reason, the altcoin’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) climbed to 81, reaching overbought levels. RSI at these levels suggests that the momentum is largely driven by strong bullish pressure.At the same time, the Bulls v Breas ratio has jumped from 0.38 to 93, further confirming the strengthening bullish pressure.

Under such market conditions, assets have tended to make more gains. If the upside momentum holds, VVV will finally flip $20 and eye $22.

However, profit takers remain extremely active in the market. With every jump, sellers have rushed to cash out, causing the recent volatility.

On the 12th of May, profit-taking skyrocketed to record levels. Spot Netflow rose to a new all-time high of $4.3 million according to Coinglass data.Traditionally, heightened profit-taking has weakened upside momentum, leading to market pullbacks. Thus, if sellers maintain the current rate, VVV is likely to breach the $14 support level again.

Galaxy Digital to manage Sharplink’s new $125 million onchain yield playGalaxy Digital (GLXY) and Sharplink (SBET) are teaming up to put part of the latter’s staked $ETH treasury into decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies.

The Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund would receive $100 million from Sharplink’s staked $ETH treasury and $25 million from Galaxy, the companies said.

Galaxy is set to manage the investment, which is expected to commence in the coming weeks under a non-binding memorandum of understanding.

The strategy will see capital deployed across DeFi liquidity protocols and other onchain yield strategies. The structure is designed to keep Sharplink’s core $ETH exposure intact while adding an active yield strategy to its balance sheet.

Sharplink holds 872,984 $ETH, according to separate first-quarter results. The company has generated 18,800 $ETH in staking rewards since launching its ether treasury strategy in June 2025, the firm said.

The allocation is small relative to Sharplink’s $ETH stack but large enough to mark a shift in the treasury model. At recent prices, $100 million equals roughly 43,000 $ETH.
