XRP Has Now Entered the Same Buy Warning Zone as Bitcoin

$XRP has entered the same macro buy warning zone as Bitcoin, a development that marks the beginning of major multi-year accumulation windows.

This rare signal has often appeared near the start of multi-year accumulation periods, and this has led many market participants to believe the current phase could present an attractive entry point if the market follows its historical cycle.

Currently, $XRP trades at around $1.12 after recovering slightly from the cycle low recorded in late June. The token briefly fell to $1.01, bringing it within touching distance of the important $1 psychological support level for the first time in about 19 months.

The decline completed a massive correction that erased more than half of $XRP’s value from its cycle peak of $3.6, reached during the summer of 2025. Now, $XRP has entered a buy warning zone similar to the one it slipped into in 2024 before the meteoric surge.

This structure began with the major pivot low of $0.3823 formed in July 2024. From there, $XRP completed a five-wave rally amid stronger trading volume and a breakout above a Fibonacci extension level, pushing toward the $3.6 all-time high in July 2025.

However, from here, $XRP has continued to correct. The latest pullback still looks like a normal correction, not the start of a new bearish trend, and seems similar to the same demand zone from July 2024.
Notably, Bitcoin has also slipped into such buy warning zone. However, the current low has not yet produced the signals that have marked every major $XRP bottom in the past.

A confirmed bottom would require a one-two-three-four-five impulse within about four weeks, rising trading volume throughout the move, and a close above the key Fibonacci level.

Three Stablecoin regulation developed within one week

The IMF found that dollar-pegged stablecoins ease access to foreign currency but can accelerate mass exits during a crisis.

Three important stablecoin events occurred this week, signaling that the sector is now attracting real institutional attention and capital.

On July 10, the IMF published a paper highlighting that stablecoins can ease access to foreign currency, but may also trigger currency runs. On the same day, Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, received final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish a national trust bank regulated by the Fed.

Another major development was related to the CLARITY Act. Voting on the new draft is expected this week for July 20 or July 27, according to CoinDesk’s reporting.

What the IMF Paper Said About Stablecoin Currency Risk?

The paper released by IMF economist Brandon Joel Tan, titled “Stablecoins and Fragility in Fixed Exchange Rate Regimes“, was not a criticism of stablecoins. Instead, it was an unbiased view on how dollar-pegged stablecoins can affect economies with fixed or tightly managed exchange rates.

The risk highlighted by the paper was genuine and structural. Stablecoin prices are public and updated continuously. Thus, they provide a publicly visible real-time signal of a dollar shortage.

In stable conditions, that transparency is a feature. However, during a currency crisis, if a country’s official exchange rate differs from the real market rate, it may encourage mass exits from the local currency.

That shift can accelerate capital flight and increase the risk of the currency runs that fixed exchange rate systems are vulnerable to. The paper suggests that temporary restrictions on large or panic-driven transactions may be necessary to avoid currency runs.

In its H1 2026 Round-Up report, crypto research company K33 Research flagged more than 50% of the $BTC supply now being held at a loss.

A typical bear-market feature, supply in loss has become a yardstick for progress toward macro bottoms for $BTC/USD.

K33 data shows that once supply in loss passes the 50% mark, the bottom has come no more than 101 days later. Bear markets have provided various time frames, with the shortest bottom “window” lasting just 13 days in 2022.
