This has kept developer interest intact, even as price momentum slowed. Market watchers believe ETH’s current range could act as a base for the next move once Bitcoin establishes a clearer trend.
From a technical perspective, Ethereum is holding above important support zones, while resistance remains near recent highs. Volume has declined slightly, indicating that traders are waiting for confirmation before making aggressive moves. Long-term investors remain focused on Ethereum’s role in decentralized finance, NFTs, and institutional adoption.
If overall crypto sentiment improves, ETH could attempt a recovery toward higher resistance levels. Until then, consolidation is viewed as a healthy pause rather than a sign of weakness.

$How Bitcoin is guiding the next recession, strategist explains

Bloomberg Intelligence strategist Mike McGlone believes the ongoing slide in Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader cryptocurrency market may be offering an early signal of the next U.S. recession, rather than a routine pullback in speculative assets.

In an X post on February 15, McGlone argued that what equity analysts may soon describe as a healthy correction could instead mark the unwinding of excess built up over more than a decade of aggressive dip-buying.

Indeed, Bitcoin continues to struggle with volatility, with establishing its price above the $70,000 level a key challenge. Despite making progress above this mark on Sunday, the asset has since retraced, trading at $68,488, down almost 2% in the past 24 hours.

McGlone also pointed to what he described as an imploding crypto bubble following a peak in speculative and political euphoria, alongside a resurgence in gold and silver occurring at a pace last witnessed around half a century ago. Rising volatility in precious metals, in his view, is likely to spill over into equities.

At the same time, the strategist noted that since the 2008 financial crisis, investors have largely been rewarded for buying weakness, but he suggests that era may be nearing its end as multiple macro indicators flash warning signs.

After weeks of consistent selling pressure, $XRP is beginning to show early signs of recovery. Price action is currently above the 26-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), a technical level that traders closely watch to determine short-term momentum shifts. Following recent lows around $1.40 and a decline from above $2.30 earlier in the year, $XRP has finally produced a strong rebound that is starting to alter the short-term technical outlook.


A discernible rise in trading volume coincided with the recent rebound, indicating that buyers intervened forcefully after $XRP tested the lower limit of its descending channel. The breakout above the 26 EMA suggests that traders are prepared to reenter positions after a protracted correction phase, and that bearish momentum is waning, at least temporarily.

Although surpassing the 26 EMA is a positive indication, $XRP still has a number of technical obstacles to overcome. Still sloping downward, the asset is below longer-term moving averages, such as the 50 and 200 EMA zones. This indicates that the overall trend remains bearish, and that the current movement may either turn into a rally for recovery or fade into another period of consolidation.


$XRP must maintain above the 26 EMA and progressively retake resistance levels close to $1.75 and $1.90 in order for the bullish momentum to intensify. If higher lows are successfully established from here, it would be evidence that buyers are taking back control. However, if this recovery is not sustained, the price may soon return to recent support levels.


Although the technical picture is getting better at this point, it is still not entirely bullish. If buying pressure persists, $XRP may try a more extensive recovery in the upcoming weeks. The
