From when Bitcoin was trading near $11,500 in 2020 to now, when it is hovering around $81,000, Saylor’s confidence in $BTC has only increased.

Starting from the 11th of August 2020, when Strategy purchased 21,454 $BTC worth $250 million, the firm has now accumulated a total of 818,334 $BTC worth $63.54 billion.

With a total of 107 $BTC purchases, Strategy has even outpaced BlackRock’s Bitcoin holdings of 812,276.2 $BTC.

Needless to say, many players in the Bitcoin market now use Strategy’s Bitcoin strategy as a point of reference.

In fact, Boyaa Interactive is often referred to as “Hong Kong’s MicroStrategy,” while Japan’s Metaplanet is “Asia’s MicroStrategy” because of how much they mimic the firm’s buying tactics.

Outside the Bitcoin market, Michael Saylor’s corporate treasury strategy attracted interest in the Ethereum [$ETH] space as well.

In the Ethereum treasury market, Tom Lee’s BitMine Immersion Technologies has become a prominent player, much like Strategy is in Bitcoin. Notably, BitMine started its crypto corporate journey by adding 100 $BTC to its treasury in June 2025.

Indeed, Tom Lee’s company did not fully switch to Ethereum until August 2025. Yet, despite this, BitMine quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about firms in the corporate Ethereum treasury market.

BitMine has so far acquired 5,180,131 $ETH worth $12.36 billion at an average price of $2,336 per $ETH.

This has prompted a notion that BitMine might be Ethereum’s Strategy. Now these aren’t just speculations, as back in November 2025, Messari, a crypto analytics platform, had noted,

A16z Advocates Rebranding Stablecoins as Digital Payment Infrastructure

Robert Hacket, an a16z crypto executive, stated that stablecoins have outgrown the meaning of their original label in recent years. Several experts believe a name change is necessary going forward for the asset class to integrate use cases. However, like other tech terms, the name is expected to linger across traditional circles even after a change.

The head of special projects at a16z crypto explained in a report that stablecoins are now integral to global finance way beyond their early characteristics. In the early stages, these assets were designed to imply a crypto pegged to fiat, such as the dollar or other assets.

Basically, it was the opposite of mainstream crypto assets, which were largely volatile. In the last decade, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have experienced spikes and bear phases that have dominated trader narratives.

Bullish has agreed to acquire global transfer agent Equiniti in a $4.2 billion transaction that aims to fuse traditional market infrastructure with blockchain-based systems, marking one of the largest deals tied to tokenized securities.

The agreement combines Bullish’s digital asset platform with Equiniti’s role as a core record-keeper for public companies. Equiniti services nearly 3,000 issuer clients, supports more than 20 million shareholders and processes about $500 billion in annual payments. Transfer agents maintain shareholder records, manage dividend distribution and handle corporate actions, placing them at the center of equity market operations.

Under the terms, Bullish will assume $1.85 billion of Equiniti’s debt and issue about $2.35 billion in stock, subject to adjustments. The companies expect the deal to close in January 2027, pending regulatory approvals.

The combined firm is projected to generate about $1.3 billion in adjusted revenue in 2026, with more than $500 million in adjusted EBITDA less capital expenditures. Bullish expects revenue growth of 6% to 8% from 2027 through 2029, with tokenization and blockchain services contributing a larger share over time.

The transaction reflects a broader push across financial markets to bring equities and other assets onto blockchain infrastructure. Bullish executives frame the acquisition as a way to address a gap in tokenized markets: the absence of a regulated transfer agent built for digital securities.

Bullish provides token design, issuance, compliance and trading services, along with liquidity and market data through its ownership of CoinDesk. Equiniti contributes established relationships with listed companies and regulators, along with its role as a system of record for equity ownership.
