Solana: On-chain activity rises, but SOL isn’t done falling - Here's why

Solana [SOL] has sunk toward the $100 support zone after failing to breach the $150 supply zone.

The bulls had been trying to climb past this resistance since mid-November, but the recent market-wide selling sent the altcoin lower.

SOL has a bearish bias on the weekly chart. After the strong performance toward the end of 2024, it saw a bearish structure break in April 2025.

The rejection in September 2025 at the 78.6% retracement level at $252.9 proved that the structure break in April was not a liquidity sweep but a true trend shift.

At the time of writing, it appeared highly likely that SOL would fall below the $95 swing low from April 2025.

XRP is currently trading near $1.89, showing limited movement after a recent pullback from higher levels. The price has stabilized following a short-lived bounce earlier this month, but overall momentum on the daily chart remains mixed as buyers and sellers stay cautious.

Over the past 24 hours, XRP traded between intraday low of $1.88 and high of $1.94, reflecting low volatility compared to earlier weeks. The broader structure suggests that XRP is still in a corrective phase after failing to sustain moves above the $2.30–$2.40 region.

XRP Technical Structure Remains Under Pressure
Looking at the XRP/USDT daily chart, XRP is trading below both its 9-day EMA (around $2.03) and 21-day SMA (around $2.07). This indicates that short-term trend pressure remains on the downside. The recent bearish crossover between these averages prop up the lack of strong buying momentum and highlights seller dominance in the near term.

The RSI 14 is currently near 40, staying below the neutral 50 zone. This suggests weak momentum, though it is not yet in deeply oversold territory. The RSI movement indicates that selling pressure has eased slightly but buyers have not shown enough strength to shift the trend.

The MACD indicator also reflects subdued momentum. The MACD line remains below the signal line, and the histogram has turned slightly negative. This setup points to ongoing consolidation rather than a clear reversal, with no strong directional signal at the moment.

Zooming in, the Bull Bear Power Trend (BBPT) indicator, bearish pressure is still present, although it has moderated compared to earlier levels. The reduction in red bars suggests selling strength is weakening, but bullish pressure has not yet returned in a meaningful way.

Bitcoin Price Hits 9-Month Low Amid $2.6 Billion Liquidation: What’s Next?


Bitcoin price fell below the $80,000 support level, hitting a nine-month low and wiping out $2.6 billion in trader positions.


According to BeInCrypto data, the 6% slide sent the token to $77,082 before a minor rebound. This marked the first time prices have sat this low since April 2025.


Bitcoin Sinks Below ‘Fair Value’ for First Time in Years


The price action pushed Bitcoin below critical on-chain benchmarks for the first time in years.


Glassnode data confirmed that Bitcoin fell below its True Market Mean—currently $80,500—for the first time in 30 months. The last breach occurred in late 2023, when the asset traded at just $29,000.

Historically, a breach of this level signals a transition from a bull cycle to a mid-term bear market.


As a result, $BTC holders now face a grim reality as its Short-Term Holder Cost Basis has climbed to $95,400, while the Active Investor Mean stands at $87,300.


With the spot price significantly below these averages, the market now faces a substantial overhang of unrealized losses.


This technical breakdown triggered a violent deleveraging event across global derivatives exchanges.


Data from CoinGlass show that the collapse led to the liquidation of roughly $2.58 billion in trader positions.

Notably, the carnage hit one side of the market with extreme prejudice as “long” positions—bets on a price rebound—accounted for $2.42 billion of the total losses. This is the largest long liquidation event in the last three months.


Ethereum traders bore the heaviest burden, incurring $1.15 billion in liquidations, while Bitcoin-related wipes totaled more than $772 million.
