Fidelity is preparing to add staking and quarterly cash payouts to its Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), one of the largest spot ether ETFs in the U.S.

FETH, with $898 million in net assets, could stake as much as 100% of its ether under normal conditions, though Fidelity set no minimum, according to an amended registration statement. The fund would keep some $ETH available for redemptions, expenses and other liquidity needs.

The shift follows an IRS safe harbor bulletin issued in November 2025 that lets qualifying crypto trusts stake assets without losing their grantor-trust tax status. Fidelity would join Grayscale and 21Shares in adding staking to existing ether funds. BlackRock took a different route by introducing a separate staking product.

Fidelity would retain 85% of gross staking rewards, while the remaining 15% would go to the fund sponsor, custodians and node operators. Blockdaemon, Figment and Galaxy are named as the trust’s node operators.

Net staking rewards would first cover fund expenses and would then be used for quarterly cash distributions. Funds must distribute net staking rewards at least quarterly, according to the IRS rules.

The fund may also sell some $ETH to raise cash for payouts, Fidelity said.

Robinhood has expanded its cryptocurrency trading services to the United Kingdom, creating another potential avenue for Shiba Inu (SHIB) adoption among UK investors.

The trading platform announced the launch on Monday, August 10, 2026, confirming that eligible UK customers can now trade cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu directly through the Robinhood app, alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options, and futures.

Notably, Robinhood will provide the service through Bitstamp, the UK-registered crypto-asset service provider it acquired in 2024. 
Robinhood said its UK crypto service will offer zero-trading fees, while customers will also avoid account maintenance and custody fees. The company positioned the service as a low-cost alternative to traditional UK crypto platforms, particularly those that rely on complex pricing structures and wider spreads.

The rollout will initially reach eligible UK customers this week and will provide access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies. The lineup includes major assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Hyperliquid (HYPE).

Bitdeer’s existing at-the-money program could raise up to $1 billion through Class A share sales, about twice the roughly $500 million the Bitcoin miner says it still needs to build its Tydal AI data center.

Its latest prospectus supplement filed Aug. 10 sets no minimum sale amount, however, and does not commit the company to sell the full authorization or spend all of it on Tydal.

At the filing’s illustrative price of $10.88, a full draw on Bitdeer’s $1 billion ATM capacity would require about 91.9 million new shares. That issuance would equal 40.4% of the 227.4 million Class A shares outstanding on June 30.

After simply adding the new shares, they would make up about 28.8% of the enlarged Class A pool, the more direct ownership-dilution measure for existing holders. The scenario is price-dependent and is not a forecast; it is also distinct from the prospectus’s net-tangible-book-value dilution figure.
