SkyAI [$SKYAI] continued defending its mid-June breakout structure despite a sharp rejection from the $0.4792 high.

Momentum built and strengthened each time the price returned to previous support levels. Moreover, buyers successfully defended their recent breakouts into early June with a sharp reversal of trend when they rejected the price action at $0.4792.

After the sharp decline, the price moved to find support around $0.328 and then began an upward march through the resistance zone of $0.398.

Since then, in the 4-hour chart, price has been consolidating within a range as the volume declines. This implies supply exhaustion rather than aggressive distribution. At the time of writing, the AI token had hiked by 8% in the last 24 hours and was trading at $0.3713.

Meanwhile, RSI recovered to 53.2 after cooling from overbought readings above 80, suggesting momentum has reset without breaking structure. As $SKYAI presses against resistance near $0.398-$0.41, a breakout could reopen the path toward $0.4792. Yet another rejection would shift attention back to $0.34 and the critical $0.3286 support zone.

HIVE Digital Technologies said it has completed an inaugural research project using GPUs hosted in Asunción, Paraguay, in collaboration with Columbia University. The effort focused on iterative AI training runs performed remotely from New York and is now being submitted to NeurIPS, one of the major annual machine learning conferences.

For the AI infrastructure market, the development is less about a single model run and more about benchmarking and operational readiness. Independent, research-oriented testing can help quantify how well an installed GPU environment supports specific training workflows, including throughput and latency, and whether those results hold up under distributed usage patterns.

Columbia researchers use GPUs in Paraguay for NeurIPS-bound work

According to HIVE, the project centered on neural network pretraining research conducted by Columbia’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. The team used HIVE GPU resources in Asunción while running iterative training experiments from New York.

The company framed the work as a “proof of concept” for intercontinental AI training, where researchers can run training jobs on geographically separated hardware. HIVE also said the research utilized code optimizations developed by Columbia to evaluate performance characteristics relevant to training workflows.

HIVE reported that, after normalization for each platform’s raw hardware performance, its A40 GPUs delivered training results comparable to newer-generation H100 GPUs in the targeted use case. The company described performance evaluation in terms of measured throughput and latency, along with tests for serving throughput and latency for a model configuration the team referenced as up to 1.4 billion parameters.

Ethereum Validators May Redirect Up to 10% of Staking Rewards, If the Validator Approves

Ethereum validators could soon play a direct role in funding ecosystem development under a new proposal that would allow up to 10% of staking rewards to be redirected toward public goods, infrastructure, and research projects. 

The idea aims to solve Ethereum’s funding challenge as concerns grow over the future financing of Ethereum’s core development efforts.

What the Proposal Wants to Change
The proposal, titled Validator Redirected Revenue, was introduced by Ethereum researcher Clement Lesaege and contributors as a potential protocol-level funding mechanism. 

It says that Ethereum suffers from a “free-rider problem,” where everyone benefits from ecosystem improvements, but few are willing to fund them.

Under the proposal, validators would vote on how much of their staking rewards should be redirected to ecosystem funding. If more than 51% of validators support a non-zero contribution, the selected rate would become mandatory for all validators. The maximum redirect rate would be capped at 10%, while validators could also vote to keep it at zero.

The proposal states that, “If 51% of validators signal a redirect rate above 0, the contribution becomes mandatory for all validators.”

Why Ethereum Funding Is Becoming a Concern
According to Lesaege, Ethereum has a funding problem where many important projects struggle to get support, even though they benefit the entire network.

The proposal says validators already have a reason to support Ethereum’s growth. As network activity increases, demand for ETH can rise, more ETH can be burned, and the value of staked ETH may increase.

Trump signs orders to build a quantum computer and protect against the one that could break encryption

The U.S. government wants to build a quantum computer – the ultra-fast machine that could theoretically break the Bitcoin BTC$63,502.81 blockchain – and protect itself from it at the same time.

On Monday, the White House issued two executive orders. One pushes to build the quantum machine while the other calls for building defenses against the damage that such machines could do to encryption.

The build order
Executive Order 14411 pushes for an effort called QC-ADDS to produce a large-scale quantum computer, with the "intent to deliver at least one such computer to a Department of Energy facility and, to the extent possible, make it available to the scientific community."

The order also tells the Pentagon, the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, to get quantum sensors into the field by 2028, and lays out plans for workforce training and supply chains

"Within 60 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of War shall identify at least three next-generation quantum sensor projects to prioritize in order to field these sensors by September 30, 2028," the order says.

The defensive order
Executive Order 14409 focuses on what happens once a quantum computer is powerful enough to break today's encryption.

It explicits says that adversaries may already be collecting encrypted U.S. data, or information mathematically scrambled into an unreadable format to protect it from unauthorized access, and could decrypt it in future with the help of quantum computers.
