According to Walter Bloomberg, the U.S. Treasury Department today issued a general license authorizing the production, delivery, and sale of Iranian crude oil, petrochemicals, and petroleum products.

Accordingly, the US issued a general license allowing trade in Iranian crude oil and petrochemical products until August 21.

It was stated that this license represents a temporary suspension of regulations related to energy transactions with Iran, and does not mean the complete lifting of sanctions.

Following the release of the license, which will last for two months, Bitcoin also surpassed $65,000. Gold and silver also saw increases along with BTC. While Bitcoin climbed above $65,000, an ounce of gold rose above $4,200 and an ounce of silver above $68. Brent oil is trading around $78.

The market views this measure as consistent with progress in US-Iran negotiations and the normalization of transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

Market analysts suggest that temporarily allowing trade in Iranian crude oil could alleviate supply instability and put downward pressure on international oil prices.

XRP has been in a steady downtrend after losing the crucial $1.28 support level on its daily chart. The decline accelerated, pushing the price as low as $1.05 without a significant rebound. Currently, XRP is trading below its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, which now serve as firm resistance overhead. This configuration typically signals a bearish outlook in the short term.

However, a notable increase in trading volume accompanied the recent plunge, a pattern that often indicates the market may have absorbed a substantial portion of the selling pressure. This absorption, combined with signs that panic selling is subsiding, suggests the downward momentum is weakening.

RSI and Momentum Indicators

The Relative Strength Index (RSI), a widely followed momentum oscillator, has moved out of oversold territory and is attempting a rebound. This shift indicates that selling pressure may be exhausting itself, and buyers are beginning to step in at these lower levels. The company framed the work as a “proof of concept” for intercontinental AI training, where researchers can run training jobs on geographically separated hardware. HIVE also said the research utilized code optimizations developed by Columbia to evaluate performance characteristics relevant to training workflows.

HIVE reported that, after normalization for each platform’s raw hardware performance, its A40 GPUs delivered training results comparable to newer-generation H100 GPUs in the targeted use case. The company described performance evaluation in terms of measured throughput and latency, along with tests for serving throughput and latency for a model configuration the team referenced as up to 1.4 billion parameters.
