On Monday (June 22), TurboFlow, a Hong Kong-based on-chain trading platform that integrates both prediction markets and perpetual futures, raised $6 million in seed funding. The round was led by Pantera Capital and included Susquehanna Crypto and Digital Currency Group.

The fundraising effort comes amid expectations that global prediction market volumes will increase fivefold this year, and an increasing flow of institutional capital toward event-contract platforms.

Leverage Reset Shifts Focus to Spot Demand
Bitcoin’s futures market has undergone a sharp leverage reset. Traders are now watching whether the next move will be driven by spot demand rather than derivatives speculation. Data shared by Cryptoquant on June 22 showed total $BTC Open Interest across exchanges falling from $26.0 billion to $20.89 billion during June.

The drop in futures exposure outpaced the decline in price. Bitcoin fell from roughly $71,200 at the start of the month to $63,234 by June 21, down 11.4%, while Open Interest contracted 19.5%, indicating futures exposure was reduced more aggressively than the decline in $BTC price.

Referring to the decline in futures positioning and the reduction in leveraged exposure across the market, the analyst stated:

“So far, the data shows that excess leverage has been reduced.”

Traders often track the relationship between price and Open Interest to assess market structure. During the first week of June, $BTC fell to a local low of $60,900 on June 6 while Open Interest dropped from $26.0 billion to about $22.4 billion, a pattern consistent with liquidations and position reductions rather than a buildup of new leveraged positions.

The chart labeled this period a “ Leverage Reset,” with both price and Open Interest declining together. That differs from a price drop accompanied by rising Open Interest, which can signal growing speculative positioning.

Ранее, 20 июня, LAB уже снижался более чем на 21%, опускаясь к $12. После этого быки удержали важную зону пробоя, что позволило избежать дальнейшего падения и запустить восстановление.

По мере роста цена приблизилась к уровням коррекции Фибоначчи 61,8% и 50%, которые в течение месяца влияли на динамику рынка. Участники рынка пытаются определить, является ли текущее движение краткосрочной коррекцией или началом более устойчивого тренда.

Индекс RSI снизился с зоны перекупленности (выше 75 возле пика $18.80) до уровня 61,5, что указывает на восстановление импульса и постепенное усиление покупателей.

Однако важно отметить, что объёмы торгов значительно снизились после достижения максимума $21.37. Это говорит о слабой вовлечённости рынка и отсутствии сильной уверенности со стороны участников.

Сейчас LAB необходимо вернуть уровень $16.21. Если покупатели смогут пробить его на растущем объёме, это усилит импульс и откроет путь к повторному тесту $18.80, а затем и к максимуму $21.37.

В противном случае, если сопротивление удержится, возрастает вероятность отката к $13.27. При усилении давления продаж возможен дальнейший спад к ключевой зоне поддержки $11.07.

Ethereum Validators May Redirect Up to 10% of Staking Rewards, If the Validator Approves

Ethereum validators could soon play a direct role in funding ecosystem development under a new proposal that would allow up to 10% of staking rewards to be redirected toward public goods, infrastructure, and research projects. 

The idea aims to solve Ethereum’s funding challenge as concerns grow over the future financing of Ethereum’s core development efforts.

What the Proposal Wants to Change
The proposal, titled Validator Redirected Revenue, was introduced by Ethereum researcher Clement Lesaege and contributors as a potential protocol-level funding mechanism. 

It says that Ethereum suffers from a “free-rider problem,” where everyone benefits from ecosystem improvements, but few are willing to fund them.

Under the proposal, validators would vote on how much of their staking rewards should be redirected to ecosystem funding. If more than 51% of validators support a non-zero contribution, the selected rate would become mandatory for all validators. The maximum redirect rate would be capped at 10%, while validators could also vote to keep it at zero.

The proposal states that, “If 51% of validators signal a redirect rate above 0, the contribution becomes mandatory for all validators.”

Why Ethereum Funding Is Becoming a Concern
According to Lesaege, Ethereum has a funding problem where many important projects struggle to get support, even though they benefit the entire network.

The proposal says validators already have a reason to support Ethereum’s growth. As network activity increases, demand for ETH can rise, more ETH can be burned, and the value of staked ETH may increase.

“Validators fund ecosystem development. Ecosystem development increases network demand. Increased demand leads to more ETH burn.”
