Vance: US-Iran Switzerland Negotiations Lay Foundation for Final Agreement, Hopes for Regional Cease

On June 22, U.S. Vice President Vance delivered a speech in Switzerland. He stated that negotiations with Iran are progressing very smoothly, achieving a lot of positive developments. Regarding the regional situation, Vance mentioned that a conflict de-escalation mechanism has been established for Lebanon, hoping Hezbollah will cease fire against Israel. This mechanism aims to contain the conflict in Lebanon while ensuring proper coordination and respecting Lebanon's sovereignty. Additionally, Vance stated that a mechanism has been established to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, which is currently accessible. He expressed hope for a regional ceasefire and ensuring Israel's security, while believing that a very good foundation has been laid for successfully reaching a final agreement.
