 Fundstrat's Tom Lee pushed back on the growing consensus that this week's Fed meeting was hawkish. He argued investors misjudged new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's communication style and intentions.

"Kevin Warsh has a very different communication style and he plans to kind of modernize how the Fed monitors data," Lee said. "I think the markets took the removal of that forward guidance and even looking at those dot plots as a hawkish pivot. But I think instead I think it's Kevin Warsh saying, listen, I'm going to be using modern data, real-time alternative data to understand what's going on with inflation, and at this moment we have no conviction.

He added that the real takeaway for investors is how reactive the Fed's projections could now be. "I think the homework now is for investors to understand that if data changes, those dots are going to move pretty quickly. So overall, it's actually quite a dovish meeting

A massive $13 billion Bitcoin options expiry scheduled for June 26 is drawing significant attention from traders as market positioning appears to favor bears over bulls.

According to derivatives market data, most bullish call options are concentrated above the $72,000 level, while Bitcoin has struggled to maintain upward momentum throughout June. This leaves many bullish positions at risk of expiring worthless if the market fails to stage a strong recovery before settlement.

Deribit continues to dominate the Bitcoin options market, accounting for nearly 79% of total open interest. The exchange currently holds approximately $10.4 billion worth of contracts set to expire, making it the primary battleground for short-term price action.

Analysts note that put options currently enjoy a notable advantage, with estimates suggesting bears could benefit from a net edge ranging between $1 billion and $3.4 billion depending on Bitcoin's closing price at expiry. The recent decline in BTC price, combined with weakening sentiment and ETF outflows, has added pressure to an already fragile market structure.

Despite ongoing institutional interest and continued Bitcoin accumulation by major corporate holders, traders remain cautious. Market participants are closely monitoring whether Bitcoin can stabilize and recover lost ground ahead of the monthly expiry event.

Historically, large options expirations have often increased volatility as traders adjust positions and market makers hedge exposure. With billions of dollars on the line, the June 26 settlement could become one of the most important events for Bitcoin price action this month.

The coming days may determine whether Bitcoin bulls can regain control and prepare for a stronger July recovery, or whether bears will extend their dominance and push the market into a deeper correction.

In the last 24 hours, $SUI volume recorded a significant surge, reaching $373.5 million daily, according to transaction data on exchanges. This operational metric temporarily positions the Move-language-based blockchain above established Layer-1 (L1) competitors such as Avalanche (AVAX), TON, Aptos, and Polygon.

The increase in trading shows that institutional and retail traders maintain active participation around the Mysten Labs token. However, order book readings suggest that this trading volume has been largely driven by position liquidations and the execution of sell orders. In the L1 blockchain environment, high volume can manifest during both bullish accumulation phases and periods of severe correction.

According to technical market reports, the asset failed to defend the critical support level of $0.80, a trading zone that had acted as a short-term containment base in previous weeks. The loss of this psychological barrier has caused immediate price control to shift to the sellers’ side. Analytical data from exchanges indicates that the buyers’ inability to absorb supply at that point weakens the coin’s technical structure in the immediate horizon.

Under MiCAR, WhiteBIT EU will be able to provide regulated crypto-asset services to eligible users across the EEA.
The authorization marks an important step in WhiteBIT’s broader strategy to build a regulated European presence and contribute to the continued development of the digital asset ecosystem in the EEA*.

A former Ethereum Foundation contributor has warned that Ethereum’s development ecosystem could face a funding crunch within the next three to nine months. This raises concerns about the network’s ability to continue delivering major upgrades and long-term innovation.

Trent VanEpps, who worked at the Ethereum Foundation from 2021 to 2026, said Ethereum may be heading toward a “slow-burning funding crisis.” He explained that this will happen as key funding sources begin to dry up.

According to him, the issue goes beyond a temporary budget gap. It points to deeper structural challenges around how Ethereum funds and supports its core contributors.

VanEpps estimates that Ethereum’s core development ecosystem requires roughly $30 million per year to support client teams, researchers, coordinators, and protocol developers. He argued that this is a relatively small cost considering the scale of the network. Furthermore, the resources these teams maintain are significant.

However, two major changes are putting pressure on funding.

First, the Ethereum Foundation has been reducing its spending. In 2025, the Foundation introduced a treasury plan aimed at lowering annual spending from 15% to around 5% by 2030. This is meant to preserve its remaining funds.

Second, Ethereum’s Client Incentive Program (CIP), a four-year initiative that helped fund client teams through staking rewards, expired in April 2026. So far, no replacement program has been announced.

According to VanEpps, these changes could leave important development teams without stable funding in the coming months.

A major part of the discussion revolves around the Ethereum Foundation’s long-standing philosophy called “Subtraction.”
