Arbitrum delegates approved the release of $71 million in ether frozen after last month’s Lazarus-linked rsETH exploit, setting up a direct clash between decentralized governance and an active U.S. court fight over who owns the funds.

The on-chain vote, which closed Friday afternoon Hong Kong time with more than 90% support, authorizes the release of 30,765 $ETH frozen by Arbitrum’s Security Council after the April 18 exploit, when attackers used unbacked rsETH tokens as collateral on Aave to borrow roughly $230 million in $ETH from the protocol.

The funds are earmarked for a coordinated industry recovery effort led by Aave, KelpDAO, LayerZero, EtherFi and Compound, aimed at making affected users whole.

But the frozen ether is also at the center of an escalating legal dispute in Manhattan federal court.

From a technical perspective, BTC’s 1.7% decline saw it break below the crucial $80k level, which Bitcoin had only recently reclaimed after first losing it in mid-January.

In this context, Saylor’s potential sell signal appears to have acted as an additional catalyst that may have intensified downside momentum.

According to AMBCrypto, this is where timing begins to matter. As the chart below shows, Bitcoin profit margins have risen to nearly 20%, meaning traders are now sitting on their highest unrealized gains since June 2025.

Against this on-chain backdrop, Saylor’s tweet may have contributed to profit-taking pressure.Against this pressure, outflows from ETFs appear to be carrying more weight than in previous corrections.

From a technical perspective, Michael Saylor’s tweet could therefore represent a potential divergence in this cycle.

With analysts already leaning bearish for May, unrealized gains building, and institutional momentum softening, BTC’s 1.7% drop may be reflecting more than just a short-term reset.

Naturally, this puts the $17 billion in long exposure clustered around $67k at risk if MSTR-related sentiment shifts translate into actual selling pressure.

Bitcoin Mining Company Core Scientific Announces It Has Sold Bitcoin! Here Are the Details

Core Scientific announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The company reported selling a total of 2,385 Bitcoin during the period, generating approximately $208.3 million in revenue. However, the company also reported a net loss of $347.2 million for the same period.

A significant portion of the losses consisted of $266.5 million in impairment expenses for mining equipment and related assets. The company stated that these steps were taken to finance the transformation process towards AI data center operations.

Core Scientific also announced that it has completed the issuance of $3.3 billion in secured bonds with an interest rate of 7.75 percent to support data center investments and restructure approximately $1 billion in term loans.

Artificial intelligence infrastructure has been at the heart of the company’s recent growth strategy. In particular, the long-term agreement with CoreWeave, which increases capacity to 590 megawatts, is expected to generate approximately $10.2 billion in revenue over the next 12 years.

In the first quarter, revenue from high-density AI hosting services reached $77.5 million, while revenue from traditional Bitcoin mining operations remained at $30.1 million. This allowed the company’s AI data center business to surpass its mining operations in terms of revenue.

Core Scientific reportedly currently operates 10 data centers with a total power capacity of approximately 1.9 gigawatts. The company’s total liquidity, including cash and Bitcoin, was approximately $1.04 billion as of the end of the quarter.
