SEC Chairman Calls Stablecoin Bill ‘Historic’, Proposes Tokenization Exemption

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins is proposing an “innovation exemption” to facilitate the tokenization of stablecoins. The move comes after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a landmark stablecoin bill on Thursday. Atkins said the SEC is actively seeking to establish clear rules for the digital asset space.
