‘Fiat is hopeless’: Elon Musk says ‘American Party’ will embrace Bitcoin

The Tesla CEO has confirmed that the party will embrace Bitcoin, calling fiat “hopeless.”

Elon Musk has proposed his new political vehicle, the “American Party,” amid his feud with President Trump, confirming that an alternative to the Democratic-Republican duopoly will support Bitcoin.

The Tesla CEO has confirmed in a thread on X that the party will embrace Bitcoin, calling fiat “hopeless.”

Musk first confirmed the formation of his new political party on Saturday after an X poll. He said the American Party would address the steady increase in debt that has been seen no matter which party is in power.

“The American Party is needed to combat the Republican-Democratic Uniparty,” he wrote to his 221.8 million followers.

  Musk slammed Trump’s 940-page “Big Beautiful Bill,” which offers tax cuts and sweeping cuts, warns of job losses and strategic harm, setting up a conflict with the Trump administration.

“When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy,” he wrote in another thread. “Today, the American Party was formed to give you back your freedom.”

Meanwhile, Trump wrote on Truth Social that a third political party has never succeeded in the United States. He said Elon Musk has completely “gone off the rails,” becoming a “TRAIN CRAP” in recent weeks.
