Pi Network's Pl token stabilized above $0.17 after recent losses, ending its sharp downward trend. VeChain climbed 9% daily while HASH dropped 10%, marking the strongest altcoin moves reported today. Bitcoin showed limited movement over the past 24 hours and remained close to the $67,000 level. Its price action followed a volatile week in which the asset moved between $66,000 and $68,000 before rising to $69,200 on Wednesday. That move reversed after fresh market pressure, sending Bitcoin down to $65,700 later the same day. Since then, the asset has traded in a narrow range. At press time, Bitcoin's market capitalization stood at about $1.34 trillion, while its market dominance remained near 56.2%. Will JPX's index exclusion plans add pressure to Metaplanet stock's 86% drawdown?



Japan Exchange Group (JPX) is mulling blocking firms that park over 50% of their assets in crypto, reigniting fears for Metaplanet and other digital asset treasuries (DATs). 

According to the local publisher Nikkei, the proposed guidelines would block new crypto treasuries that fall in the said category. Additionally, those already listed on JPX’s Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) would be axed if the proposal is adopted. 

Reportedly, JPX has sought feedback from stakeholders on the same. The move could complicate the scheduled listing of Metaplanet on TOPIX after the October 2026 reconstitution.

In October 2025, Metaplanet was upgraded from small-cap to mid-cap, which prompted its listing on the FTSE Japan Index and the FTSE All-World Index. The upgrade offered more institutional exposure for Metaplanet (3350) stock. 

Still, the JPX’s exclusion could trigger passive outflows from indices and domestic investors that use TOPIX as a benchmark for Metaplanet.

Even as market conditions remained uncertain, builders on Avalanche continued to ship, expand, and innovate.

However, the $AVAX price has been moving in the opposite direction despite these strong fundamentals. While the ecosystem celebrates milestones, the token itself has struggled to gain upward momentum. But why is $AVAX price still sliding even as Avalanche continues to grow?

$AVAX Price in the Red Zone

Notably, the $AVAX price failed to make any massive movement despite these positive changes in the Avalanche ecosystem. The token is still under pressure as per CoinMarketCap data, reflecting the broader weakness in the crypto market. When market sentiment turns cautious, even strong ecosystems like Avalanche often see their tokens struggle to keep up.

As of press time, $AVAX crypto is trading at $8.89, down by 0.45%. Despite a 1.15% surge over the past week, the token has slipped by around 7% over the past month. The traders’ sentiment is also weak, as the 24-hour volume has fallen by 31% to $146 million. This indicates that the traders are taking a cautious stance, without either selling or buying $AVAX.

These companies issue Bitcoin-backed financial products such as preferred stock or convertible notes to fund ongoing accumulation. At scale, this creates a compounding engine for Bitcoin accumulation that simpler models can’t match.
The Operating Company with a Bitcoin Treasury – A traditional business with real revenue, clients, and operations, which holds Bitcoin as a long-term reserve. The asset is strategically integrated into the company’s broader business plan rather than being the sole focus.
All three models are valid expressions of the Bitcoin treasury thesis, but they serve different purposes. Understanding these differences is more important than most treasury discussions suggest.
Why the Pure-Play Works
The pure-play model deserves serious attention because its strongest version can be highly effective. Financially engineered pure-plays are extremely capital-efficient: every dollar raised goes directly into Bitcoin accumulation, without operational distractions.
