SOL pressure is building, according to Marcus Corvinus, with recent price action reflecting a noticeable shift in momentum. Losing the key trendline signals that the bullish structure is beginning to weaken, raising concerns that sellers are gradually taking control of the market.

The $92–$95 zone previously acted as a strong area of defense, but this time, sellers stepped in with clear intent, rejecting prices from that region. That rejection has now pushed SOL down into the $75–$78 range, where the market is currently consolidating.

This level is more than just support; it represents a critical decision zone. Price is compressing here, and the market is essentially waiting for a catalyst. The reaction at this level will likely determine the next major move.

If buyers manage to defend this zone, a sharp upside reaction could follow, potentially triggering a quick bounce and even a short squeeze as trapped sellers are forced to cover. However, if this support fails to hold, downside pressure could accelerate quickly, with little structural support below. For now, sentiment appears heavy, with momentum gradually tilting away from the bulls, making this level one of the most important areas to watch.

Bitcoin stuck at a key level: Investors pause to gauge BTC’s next move

So long as Bitcoin trades above the $65.9k swing low, another bounce beyond $70k could occur.

The West Asia crisis resulted in surging oil prices and fears of growing inflation. This meant that institutional traders were hedging against further downside, evident in the increased demand for puts (bearish bets).

Further downside was possible. Short-term holders were intent on protecting their profits or trying to exit the market at a breakeven, capping the potential of any rally.

Yet, the higher timeframe price action was at an interesting place where a price bounce could not be ruled out completely.
The swing moves on the 3-day timeframe were captured in white. The latest bounce amid the downtrend came in February and was incomplete. There’s a reason why it is considered incomplete.

In October 2025, when the swing structure was bullish, Bitcoin made a double top at $124.4k. This inability to continue the uptrend was an early warning sign of weakness from the bulls.

Subsequently, the swing structure shifted bearishly after the $107.2k low was breached in early November.

Consider the price action since February. The $60k swing low resulted in a bounce that has not climbed above the 50% retracement level.

Many analysts consider the area above the 50% retracement as “premium,” and a move into this area is more likely to result in the next bearish swing move.

The threshold was at $78.9k, and the latest bounce only reached $76k. After this bounce, Bitcoin has not yet climbed below the $60k swing low.

Crypto faces ‘existential’ token problem as supply outpaces value creation

The rapid growth in the number of crypto tokens is outpacing the value they generate, creating an “existential” problem for the industry, according to Michael Ippolito, co-founder of Blockworks.

In a series of posts on X, Ippolito noted that while total crypto market capitalization remains relatively strong, the average value per token tells a different story. “The average coin is only slightly higher than where it was in 2020 (!) and down ~50% since 2021,” he wrote.

Median token returns have also deteriorated sharply. Most tokens are down roughly 80% from their highs, suggesting that gains have been concentrated in a narrow set of large-cap assets, while the broader market underperforms, Ippolito claimed.

He argued that the imbalance appears to be driven by a rapid expansion in token supply. “We created a TON of new assets and STILL total market cap is flat,” he wrote, adding that this dynamic effectively dilutes value across a growing pool of tokens.
