after investors reacted positively to the company's latest financial results and optimistic outlook for Al commercialization. For the quarter ended March 31, Alibaba posted revenue of 243.38 billion yuan ($35.3 billion), representing a 3% year-over-year increase. The company's cloud intelligence segment delivered one of the strongest performances, with revenue rising 38% compared to the same period last year. External cloud revenue also increased 40%, supported by growing enterprise demand for Al-powered solutions and cloud infrastructure services. Alibaba highlighted that revenue from Al-related products achieved triple-digit growth for the 11th consecutive quarter. The company credited rising adoption of its Qwen large language models and expanding cloud ecosystem as major drivers behind the growth. Businesses across multiple industries continue to invest in Al technologies, helping Alibaba strengthen its position in China's competitive Al and cloud market.Net income attributable to ordinary shareholders more than doubled to 25.48 billion yuan during the quarter. THORChain hit by over $10M exploit as protocol halts trading

The cross-chain DeFi protocol THORChain has been struck by a suspected exploit exceeding $10 million, forcing the network to temporarily pause trading as security teams investigate the incident.

According to blockchain security researchers, the attack appears to have impacted multiple networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and Base, with estimated losses ranging above $10M. Early on-chain analysis suggests suspicious wallet activity consistent with a coordinated exploit rather than a simple market incident.

Following the alert, THORChain validators moved quickly to halt trading to prevent further damage while teams assess the scope of the breach. Investigators are currently tracking the flow of funds across cross-chain routes to determine how the exploit was executed and whether additional vulnerabilities exist.

The incident has already triggered volatility in the protocol’s ecosystem, with the native token falling sharply as market participants react to the news. Security firms continue to monitor the situation as more details are expected to emerge in the coming hours.

This marks another reminder of the ongoing risks in cross-chain DeFi infrastructure, where complex bridging systems remain frequent targets for attackers.

The $100 roadblock – Why Solana’s ETF inflows couldn’t shatter the range highs

A recent AMBCrypto report found that Solana [$SOL] had rallied 10x what Bitcoin [$BTC] had rallied at one point in May. The reason behind this outperformance was a combination of growing institutional support for $SOL and strong spot ETF inflows.

As a result, the $SOL/$BTC hike measured 9%, indicating a greater risk appetite among Solana buyers.

And yet, despite the good performance, the altcoin has faced losses over the past three days. Tokenized stock activity and ETF inflows were not enough to drive the prices higher.

$SOL faced rejection from just below the psychological $100-resistance on Monday, 11 May. Hence, the question – Is this a temporary roadblock, or have the bulls pushed $SOL as far as it would go?

The range formation and cautious Solana outlook

In March, Solana broke the $94 local high but stopped short of the $100-mark, falling all the way to the range lows once more. The revised range high at $97.68 was tested once again, but a bearish outcome came in recent days.

During this range formation, the OBV on the 1-day chart trended higher. This indicated accumulation within the range, making a bearish breakdown much less likely.

The RSI also pointed towards bullish momentum after the gains of the past two weeks, but traders need to remain cautious. Until the $97-$100 supply zone is broken and flipped to support, a swing buying opportunity would be more feasible closer to the $77 lows.

The liquidation map noted a cluster of short liquidations from $92-$97, but the cumulative long liquidation to the south was larger. This meant that a price drop toward $85 or even lower was more likely than a rally to $97.2 and higher.
