Trump’s tariffs just got a judicial lifeline. A federal appeals court has temporarily blocked a lower-court order that declared the president’s new tariffs unlawful, meaning the levies stay in effect while the appellate court decides whether to extend that pause even further.

What happened and why it matters

A lower court issued an order declaring Trump’s new tariffs unlawful. That order, if left standing, would have effectively neutralized the tariffs and forced the government to stop collecting them.

The appeals court stepped in and hit pause. The tariffs remain active while the appellate judges take their time deciding whether to grant a longer, more formal stay.

Legal challenges to presidential tariff authority aren’t new, but they have intensified. The core question in many of these cases is whether the president has the statutory authority to impose tariffs unilaterally, or whether that power belongs to Congress. The Constitution explicitly grants Congress the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations, but over the decades, Congress has delegated significant trade authority to the executive branch through various statutes.

The lower court’s decision to declare the tariffs unlawful signals that at least one judge believes the administration overstepped those delegated powers.

XRP Healthcare Expands XRPHAI Access

$XRP Healthcare, AI healthcare platform on $XRP Ledger, announced the launch of direct $XRP and $RLUSD swaps for XRPHAI through the XRPH Wallet. The update gives users a way to access XRPHAI without centralized exchanges and expands participation for the global $XRP community.

The company said users can now swap $XRP or $RLUSD directly inside the wallet while interacting with the broader $XRP Healthcare ecosystem. The infrastructure combines the XRPH Wallet with the XRPH AI App, where users receive XRPHAI rewards for health-related activity and AI-powered tools.

The project positions itself as the first AI healthcare ecosystem built on the $XRP Ledger. The company also previously launched $XRP-powered healthcare payment infrastructure through the XRPH Wallet back in 2023.

Users can currently earn XRPHAI through AI health assessments, wellness sessions, symptom scans, referrals, and use of the Prescription Savings Card. The card offers discounts at more than 68,000 pharmacies across the United States, including Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Walmart Pharmacy, and Rite Aid.

Recently, Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins have been warned that the quantum computing threat poses a significant risk and that urgent action is needed.
While many altcoins have taken significant steps in this regard, the latest announcements have come from Cardano (ADA).
Speaking to Gokhshtein News Network, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated that Cardano addressed concerns about quantum computing before they became a direct threat.
Hoskinson said that although some argue that quantum risks will only become apparent many years from now, Cardano disagrees and is already researching quantum-resistant alternatives.
At this point, Hoskinson stated that the Cardano network is currently working on a private quantum strategy, and a research proposal focusing on quantum resistance is expected to be presented next week.
Hoskinson actually stated that Cardano could support Bitcoin’s proposed BIP-361 solution to protect the network against quantum threats.
According to Hoskinson, Cardano could adopt a similar approach without much difficulty. He noted that this is essentially a hard fork, and Cardano already regularly implements hard forks.

While altcoins are taking quantum threats seriously, last month Ripple announced a four-phase roadmap aimed at making the XRP Ledger resilient to quantum threats by 2028.

Alchemy Chain has unveiled a roadmap that aims to do something the crypto industry has talked about for years but has struggled to deliver at scale: build a stablecoin payment network that can actually work across major jurisdictions without running into compliance walls at every turn.

At its core, the project is trying to position itself as a bridge between traditional finance and blockchain-based payments. That may sound familiar in a sector full of similar promises, but Alchemy Chain’s pitch is more specific.

Instead of focusing only on speed or low fees, it is putting regulation at the center of the design. The idea is to create a payment and settlement network that aligns with Europe’s MiCA framework and Hong Kong’s regulatory environment, while also supporting native stablecoin issuance on-chain.

That approach shows a bigger shift happening in digital finance. Stablecoins are no longer being treated as a side experiment or a niche trading tool. They are becoming part of the plumbing of global payments, settlement, and treasury management.

$ETH price is pressing the lower rail of the rising wedge near $2,236, the line that has defined $ETH’s recovery since the February low at $1,800. The 20 EMA at $2,300 and 50 EMA at $2,273 have both flipped back above price after acting as support through most of May. That is a near-term bearish shift and the first time both EMAs have been overhead simultaneously since early April.

The MACD crossed below its signal line with the histogram flipping negative at -12.10, the first bearish cross since early April. Overhead, the 100 EMA at $2,337 and 200 EMA at $2,572 are the levels that matter on any recovery attempt

Two major US exchange powerhouses are moving against a top decentralized trading venue. According to Bloomberg, CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which owns the New York Stock Exchange, are urging US authorities to regulate Hyperliquid amid concerns that its largely offshore, lightly regulated trading environment could be vulnerable to market manipulation and sanctions evasion.

Hyperliquid’s native HYPE token slipped approximately 6% in reaction to the development, moving from above $45 to below $43, per CoinGecko. It has a market cap of around $10.3 billion, making it the 13th-largest crypto asset globally.

The exchanges argue that Hyperliquid’s growing trading volumes in crypto and commodity-linked markets could begin to distort price discovery in critical sectors like oil, where global benchmarks are formed. They warn that anonymous trading environments may allow insiders or state-linked participants to influence prices.

The push, which includes calls for registration with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, comes as CME advances plans to expand its own 24/7 crypto trading offerings.

CME has been steadily expanding its own crypto derivatives offerings. Bitcoin Volatility Futures contracts are scheduled to begin trading June 1, and Nasdaq CME Crypto Index Futures, a multi-asset product spanning BTC, ETH, XRP, and others, launch a week later on June 8.

Both products are designed to give institutional traders regulated alternatives to the kind of leveraged trading that Hyperliquid offers with less friction and less compliance overhead.
