As US cryptocurrency ETFs continue to attract significant investor interest, another major bank has disclosed information about its holdings in ETFs.
Accordingly, the National Bank of Canada, in its latest 13F filing submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, reported owning millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency ETFs, including an $XRP ETF and various Bitcoin ETFs.
This announcement followed a report from Grayscale about significant sales of $XRP through its $XRP Trust ETF in the first half of 2026.
One of the most notable positions mentioned in the document was the Bitwise $XRP ETF. It was stated that the National Bank of Canada owned 3,848 shares of the Bitwise $XRP ETF, valued at approximately $330,000.
The National Bank's largest declared cryptocurrency investment was the ProShares Bitcoin ETF.
The bank reported holding 42,321 shares of the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, valued at approximately $5.31 million. Additionally, it stated it held 55,644 shares of the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, valued at approximately $1.09 million.
The filed documents also indicate that the entity owned 6,831 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF, representing a position in Grayscale Bitcoin worth approximately $150,000, and 2,596 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF, reportedly valued at approximately $100,000.
Bitwise announced the acquisition of stakes in five US cryptocurrency ETFs, including an $XRP ETF, bringing the total value of the five funds to approximately $6.98 million.
