Вечером 9 сентября 2025 года токен WLFI, торги которым запустили 1 сентября, в моменте падал до $0,19. Обвал произошел на фоне выхода публикации в Forbes, в которой говорится о проблемах Эрика Трампа.

По данным СМИ, сын Дональда Трампа должен был войти в совет директоров финтех-компании Alt5 Sigma, которая сотрудничает с криптопроектом World Liberty Financial. Но спустя пару недель после анонса Alt5 внесла изменения в сделку и в документах для SEC указала, что после консультаций с Nasdaq Эрик Трамп все-таки не станет директором. Его ограничат ролью наблюдателя в совете. Вместо него директором, после одобрения акционерами, должен быть назначен другой сооснователь WLF — Зак Фолкман.

Причины Nasdaq компания не раскрыла. Эксперты, которых опросил Forbes, тоже не смогли понять, по каким правилам Nasdaq один кандидат оказался неприемлем, а другой — допустим.

Параллельно у Alt5 Sigma вскрылись юридические проблемы. В Руанде ее «дочка» и бывший топ-менеджер были осуждены за отмывание денег, а в США компания получила иск, связанный с банкротством экс-CFO.

На фоне новостей WLFI просел. На момент написания обзора, криптовалюта восстановилась до $0,2. Напомним, в первый день торгов монету предлагали по курсу выше $0,3. В криптосообществе уверены в том, что падение криптовалюты стало следствием негативных новостей об Эрике Трампе, который активно продвигает World Liberty Financial в своих соцсетях.
