However, the broader trend still tells a more cautious story. AVAX remains down about 8% over the past month and nearly 50% from its mid-2025 levels, highlighting how much ground it still needs to recover.
Historically, ETF launches have acted as strong catalysts for crypto prices. Bitcoin and Ethereum both saw major upside during the 2025 ETF-driven cycle, as institutional inflows reshaped market momentum. Naturally, some traders are now wondering whether AVAX could follow a similar path and reclaim the $20 level.
Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has also highlighted Avalanche’s growing role as a platform for real-world applications, enterprise adoption, and institutional use cases—adding long-term credibility to the narrative.
Still, the macro backdrop is very different this time. High interest rates continue to pressure risk assets, reducing liquidity and investor appetite for speculative plays. At the same time, ongoing geopolitical tensions are keeping global markets risk-averse.

Michael Saylor Revealed That His Company Has Made $1.3 Billion from Bitcoin in Just the Last Two Weeks

According to Michael Saylor, Strategy achieved significant profits from its Bitcoin ($BTC) strategy during the first two weeks of April 2026. Saylor stated that a total profit of 17,585 $BTC was made during this period, which is worth approximately $1.3 billion at current prices.

Saylor noted that this earnings measurement differs from the traditional accounting concept of “net profit,” but stated that, when evaluated within the framework of the “Bitcoin standard,” it is the closest indicator to net profit.

According to data shared by the company, as of April 15th, Strategy’s total $BTC holdings reached 780,897 $BTC. The current market value of this amount is estimated to be approximately $58.1 billion.

Developed by Strategy, the “Bitcoin Gain” metric stands out as one of the key indicators used to measure the company’s performance. This metric measures the increase in the amount of Bitcoin per share as a result of the company purchasing $BTC using funds raised through financial instruments such as stock issuance, convertible bonds, and preferred shares.

This approach deviates from traditional financial reporting standards, offering investors a different value creation model. According to Saylor, while the $BTC Gain metric doesn’t directly represent accounting profit, it serves as the most accurate indicator of the value the company creates for shareholders as part of its Bitcoin strategy.

Goldman Sachs: A Different Kind Of Bitcoin Play
Goldman Sachs has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, a fund designed to give investors Bitcoin exposure while generating regular income through options trading.

The bank plans to put at least 80% of the fund’s assets into products tied to Bitcoin’s price — including shares of existing spot Bitcoin ETFs and options on those funds — rather than buying Bitcoin outright.

To produce income, Goldman intends to sell call options on Bitcoin ETF holdings at a premium. That strategy lets the fund collect fees from options buyers. The tradeoff is a cap on how much upside investors can capture if Bitcoin’s price shoots higher.

The Second Bank To Make A Move
Goldman’s filing comes on the heels of a similar push from Morgan Stanley, which launched its own spot Bitcoin ETF last week — making it the first bank-issued Bitcoin ETF on record.

Goldman Sachs is now the second major bank to enter this space, though its product takes a different approach. Morgan Stanley went the direct route with a spot fund. Goldman is building around options and indirect exposure.

The filing landed as Bitcoin was already making a move. The leading cryptocurrency climbed as high as $76,000 on the day Goldman’s registration statement was submitted to the SEC, before pulling back to around $75,000.

Goldman Sachs: What The Filing Covers
According to the SEC document, the fund may hold spot Bitcoin ETF shares and Bitcoin ETF options directly. Goldman noted in its prospectus that the fund’s income-generating mechanism centers on selling covered call options against those holdings.
