Michael Saylor’s Strategy ($MSTR) Rolls Out Bitcoin (BTC) Metrics Linked to Debt, Preferred Stock
Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR), the Bitcoin treasury company led by Michael Saylor, has recently introduced a suite of refined BTC-centric performance indicators that explicitly account for its debt obligations and preferred stock. The update reflects the firm’s evolving capital structure.

As preferred equity—often labeled “digital credit”—has grown into a major funding source for Bitcoin acquisitions, alongside remaining convertible debt, the company determined that traditional measures no longer provided sufficient clarity for investors.

The new framework aims to isolate what portion of the Bitcoin holdings effectively belongs to common shareholders after senior claims are considered.

At the core of the changes is the concept of “net reserve.” This figure starts with the company’s total Bitcoin holdings plus cash, then subtracts the value of preferred stock and out-of-the-money convertible debt.

The residual amount is then divided by a fully diluted share count to produce “net Bitcoin per share” (or net BPS), expressed both in satoshis and in dollar terms.

Company data indicate this net-per-share metric has grown substantially since the end of 2020, outpacing Bitcoin’s own price appreciation over the same period on a compound annual basis.

Alongside the net metrics, Strategy has updated its definition of mNAV.

The ratio is now calculated by dividing the MSTR share price by net Bitcoin per share rather than by the gross figure. Under the revised methodology, the accretion threshold sits at 1.0x.

The firm has also reframed “amplification” as a Bitcoin equity multiplier—essentially the ratio of total Bitcoin reserve to the net reserve—which currently stands near 1.5x.

This illustrates the leverage effect created by the senior capital stack.

WEMIX says attacker moved about $724,000 after contract breach

Layer-1 blockchain network $WEMIX said an attacker moved about 724,000 in $USDC.e tokens after compromising ownership of a contract linked to its $WEMIX$ stablecoin and issuing tokens without authorization.

The abnormal transactions occurred on Sunday at 9:17 UTC, according to a preliminary incident update from $WEMIX. The attacker issued about 5.23 million $WEMIX$, which was converted into 30,736 $WEMIX and 724,198.27 $USDC.e. The $USDC.e was then bridged to Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain before being exchanged for assets including Ether and Tether’s USDT and distributed across multiple addresses.

$WEMIX said some of the funds were deposited into centralized exchanges. The company identified the attacker’s wallets and requested asset freezes and assistance from exchanges and stablecoin issuers, adding that some exchanges had already frozen addresses linked to the incident.

The company temporarily suspended all bridges connected to its layer-1 network, WEMIX3.0, including Chainlink CCIP and the PLAY Bridge. It also suspended trading in affected liquidity pools, withdrew foundation-provided liquidity, and paused services including the $WEMIX$ Module and PNIX decentralized exchange.

$WEMIX said the cause and full impact remain under investigation and warned that the preliminary figures could change.

For context, Shiba Inu Crypto traded as low as $0.00000421 on Friday. However, it surged as high as $0.00000583 on Sunday morning, reclaiming levels last seen in May.

Despite this impressive rally, Shiba Inu crypto price retreated considerably, signaling heavy profit-taking. It exchanged hands at $0.00000512 at press time.

SHIB was still the biggest gainer among the top coins despite the retreat. Moreover, this profit-taking may have also been triggered by the fact that it was overbought at the time of writing, according to the RSI indicator.
