The company has now filed for bankruptcy, according to the weekly project update from WuBlockchain.

The episode sits inside a wider pattern: a growing number of projects that secured nine-figure war chests during the last bull cycle are running out of runway without ever finding a market fit. Earlier this week, DEX aggregator Odos announced it will shut down all services permanently on July 30, with users urged to withdraw funds or export private keys before then. Not every shutdown gets a bankruptcy label, but the dynamic is the same—capital alone doesn’t create demand. In contrast, the most active chains right now show a different kind of metabolism, as seen in the latest developer activity rankings this week.

The Worldcoin Foundation sold 217.4 million $WLD tokens to institutional investors including Pantera Capital, raising approximately $52.5 million. At an effective price near $0.24 per token, the deal closed at roughly a 36% discount to the spot market at the time. The tokens came from the team wallet, are now distributed across multiple addresses, and carry a one-year lock-up period.

The Worldcoin Foundation stressed that the sold $WLD does not represent equity or profit entitlements in Tools for Humanity, the main development firm behind the project. $ADA slipped 2.14% over the past 24 hours, while trading volume plummeted 23% to $177.3 million. Price action told only part of the story, though.

On-chain metrics did little to strengthen $ADA’s recovery case.

Why is Cardano’s network activity so weak?

$ADA’s on-chain footprint pointed to real weakness in transaction flow.

The Cardano network logged just 21,700 transactions over the past day, a steep drop from roughly 57,000 at its peak.

That pattern held across recent trading and much of this year. Daily Transaction Count hovered between 11,000 and 20,000, a subdued range for a network of Cardano’s standing.

By contrast, Active Addresses ticked up to roughly 13,860. That divergence suggested a larger pool of users still generated only limited on-chain activity.

In broader terms, Active Addresses mostly sat between 10,000 and 20,000. Thin address activity paired with a low Transaction Count weighed heavily on the chain’s utility.

Are whales behind $ADA’s selling pressure?

Exchange activity told a similar story. Heavy investor participation failed to lift a bearish outlook.

Spot Average Order Size data showed large whales dominated $ADA trading on centralized exchanges. Whales are investors who control enough liquidity to influence an asset’s performance.

Weighed against Spot Market Netflow, that whale dominance translated into net selling of $ADA over the past two weeks.

Coinbase analysts have adopted a "neutral" Bitcoin and broader crypto market outlook for Q3 2026. After printing a yearly low of $57.8K in H2 2026, $BTC has recovered by nearly 10% but has failed to reclaim $68K or the $70K level. According to Coinbase analysts, led by Colin Basco, Bitcoin appears to be transitioning from a corrective phase toward accumulation. He cited $BTC's Supply in Loss metric, which was at 50% and matched previous market cycle bottoms.

With valuation compressed, we read this as the early innings of a bottoming process rather than a durable low already in place.
