Ethereum ETFs lose $70.7M as BlackRock leads withdrawals - What's next for ET

Ethereum ETF outflows raised fresh concerns over institutional demand after U.S. spot ETFs recorded a $70.7 million net outflow on July 24.

BlackRock accounted for the largest share of that activity after investors withdrew $52.8 million from its $ETH fund.

The figures interrupted a period of sustained inflows and shifted attention toward whether large investors had started locking in profits.

However, one trading session rarely defines a broader trend, especially after weeks of consistent institutional accumulation.

Instead, the latest withdrawal suggested that some investors had adopted a more cautious stance near key price resistance.

As a result, Ethereum faced greater scrutiny because sustained ETF outflows could reduce institutional demand and weaken bullish sentiment if similar withdrawals continued over the coming sessions.

Exchange inflows add another layer of caution

On-chain spot flow data also reflected a subtle shift after Ethereum recorded a $5.92 million net inflow into exchanges during the latest session.

Positive netflows generally indicate that more $ETH moved onto exchanges than left them, increasing the amount of readily tradable supply.

Is Cardano's 500M ADA treasury push enough to reverse ecosystem stagnation? Cardano [$ADA] ranked among the weakest-performing crypto tokens in the market, losing significant ground since its launch. $ADA plunged to around $0.16 at press time, down from an all-time high near $3.10.

$ADA slipped 2.14% over the past 24 hours, while trading volume plummeted 23% to $177.3 million. Price action told only part of the story, though.

On-chain metrics did little to strengthen $ADA's recovery case.

Why is Cardano's network activity so weak?

$ADA's on-chain footprint pointed to real weakness in transaction flow.

The Cardano network logged just 21,700 transactions over the past day, a steep drop from roughly 57,000 at its peak.

That pattern held across recent trading and much of this year. Daily Transaction Count hovered between 11,000 and 20,000, a subdued range for a network of Cardano's standing.

By contrast, Active Addresses ticked up to roughly 13,860. That divergence suggested a larger pool of users still generated only limited on-chain activity.

In broader terms, Active Addresses mostly sat between 10,000 and 20,000. Thin address activity paired with a low Transaction Count weighed heavily on the chain's utility.

Where Could the SHIB Price Go Next?If people keep buying and the burns stay over 200 million SHIB a day, the first real stop is $0.00000600. That number tends to pull in short-term traders looking for a quick move. 

Push past that cleanly, and you could be looking at $0.00000640 to $0.00000660, especially if big wallets keep stacking and more DeFi projects start using SHIB.

But here’s the other side. After a 33% jump like that, things can cool off fast. The first floor to keep an eye on is $0.00000520. Below that, the old breakout zone around $0.00000480 to $0.00000490 is the next safety net. 

As long as the Shiba Inu price stays above those levels, the bigger uptrend stays intact, even if we get a pullback that shakes out some weak hands.

However, the SHIB price is climbing because the burns have picked up speed. Big holders started buying again. Trading volume went through the roof. And more DeFi projects are actually using SHIB now, which brings in more buyers.

If the bulls can hold that breakout level, this run could keep going over the next few days.

But fair warning, those overbought numbers mean we are probably in for some wild swings either way.

Coinbase Warns Crypto's Protection Could Eventually Break

Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) has started preparing its custody systems and infrastructure for a future in which powerful quantum computers could defeat the cryptography protecting Bitcoin, Ethereum and other blockchain networks.

Coinbase Chief Information Security Officer Jeff Lunglhofer outlined the company's position in a July 23 company blog post:

"A large-scale quantum computer capable of breaking current cryptography will eventually be built. No one knows exactly when. But the work to prepare needs to start now, not when it's urgent."

The company said its Independent Advisory Board on Quantum Computing and Blockchain has high confidence that a fault-tolerant quantum computer will eventually be developed. Coinbase formed the board to assess long-term quantum risks facing digital assets, according to Coinbase's quantum advisory board announcement.

"The cryptography that secures virtually every major blockchain is vulnerable when it arrives. The threat is not imminent, but the timeline is genuinely uncertain," Lunglhofer added.
