A crypto analyst has shared a new report from Etherealize, a leading crypto research firm, which projects how high the Ethereum price could reach if its market capitalization were to match that of gold. The expert believes that, beyond price action, the Ethereum network could also evolve into a global settlement layer, further solidifying its position in the crypto space. Taken together, these developments paint a strong bullish outlook for the cryptocurrency, even amid the recent volatility and price declines that have weighed on the market.

Digital Oil, a pseudonymous analyst and investor, is making a bold long-term case, arguing that the Ethereum network and its native asset, $ETH, are positioned to capture two of the world’s largest markets. As the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap and the backbone of decentralized finance, the analyst said that Ethereum holds an infinite range of possibilities.

The Ethereum Price Target At Gold’s Market Cap

He referenced an analysis report by Etherealize, which describes $ETH as a productive store of value that surpasses gold, while Ethereum itself is seen as the settlement layer for the future of global finance. This suggests that the blockchain network could be at the center of how money flows in the world in the future.

On-chain investigator ZachXBT says at least about $25 million in presale funds tied to BlockDAG Network and ZKP appear to have been mixed together and routed toward influencer promotions and gambling-related marketing linked to Gurhan Kiziloz.

ZachXBT has accused the operators behind BlockDAG Network and ZKP of pooling presale funds and redirecting part of that money into promotional payments for influencers, streamers and gambling-related marketing instead of limiting it to the purposes investors were led to expect.

In his post, he says on-chain tracing shows signs that at least about $25 million from the two presales was used interchangeably across multiple wallets before being bridged, sent to exchanges and then routed onward to addresses associated with promotional payouts for Spartans and related entities tied to Gurhan Kiziloz.

The allegation matters because the core claim is not merely sloppy treasury management but undisclosed reuse of investor money across separate ventures. According to RootData, ZachXBT had already alleged that Kiziloz was the real force behind BlockDAG and that the project’s public-facing leadership functioned more as nominal cover than actual control.

The new claim builds on months of scrutiny around BlockDAG’s unusually long-running presale and opaque cash movements. In an earlier public warning on X, ZachXBT said the token sale had run for more than two years while presale funds were being off-ramped through Middle Eastern OTC desks as Kiziloz spent heavily elsewhere.

Other outlets have echoed parts of that broader picture. CryptoRank reported in October 2025 that ZachXBT alleged Gurhan Kiziloz was the real co-founder behind BlockDAG and that millions in presale money were funneled through OTC brokers, while CryptoPotato later summarized allegations that BlockDAG had taken in more than

The prospectus does not include a public IPO share price or total offering size, though it assigns a fixed $42.40 per-share value to the 261.8 million shares issued as part of the EchoStar spectrum acquisition. The filing also names Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citi, and JPMorgan among the lead underwriters.

Within that range, the current price level does not represent a breakdown into new bear market territory. It represents a correction within an established structure, against which an unprecedented level of bearish positioning has now accumulated.

That combination — a correction within a range, not a breakdown beyond it — is what makes the sentiment extreme analytically interesting rather than simply alarming. When markets break decisively into new downside territory, extreme bearish positioning can reflect an accurate assessment of the trend. When markets correct within an established range while bearish positioning reaches a two-year extreme, the positioning itself becomes the risk.

Darkfost is careful about what this observation does and does not confirm. These situations are difficult to anticipate with precision, and sentiment extremes can persist longer than logic suggests before resolving. The mechanism, however, is straightforward: the more aggressively participants position on the short side, the larger the pool of forced buyers becomes if the price moves against them.

A market where everyone is short is a market where a recovery does not simply move the price higher — it forces exits, which accelerates the move, which forces more exits. The current 0.91 ratio does not guarantee that sequence. It does mean the conditions for it have rarely been more fully assembled than they are right now.
