The relaunch follows four prior bond issuances since 2023 that raised a combined $6.2 million. Three of those offerings have since matured and been fully repaid. Across the completed cycle, investors received 20 on-chain coupon payments totaling more than $1.1 million, according to the companies involved. The bonds provide exposure to emerging-market privatecredit, including financing for small and medium-sized businesses and women-led enterprises.

Jesse Knutson, head of operations at Bitfinex, said that buyers have primarily been high-net-worth crypto investors and crypto-focused institutions from Europe and Asia seeking yield on their $USDT holdings. "There's been a lot of discussion this year around yield-generating stablecoins. This product offers a solution with an easy, regulated and established vehicle for earning yield on $USDT balances," Knutson said.

Bitfinex Securities holds operating licenses in the Astana International Financial Centre in Kazakhstan and in El Salvador. The platform manages issuance, listing, and secondary trading, while Tether's Hadron platform handles token management.
