A Bitcoin trading expert stated that this level is approaching a decisive technical level, historically defining the transition from bull markets to deep bear market cycles.

This view emerged in the market after Bitcoin broke below the $90,000 support level. Part of the reason for the cryptocurrency market sell-off is the waning interest in risk assets. This has led to a significant drop in Bitcoin. Institutional outflows are also contributing factors.  Investors.

Currently, data shared by TradingShot analytics on TradingView on January 26 shows that Bitcoin is trading slightly below its one-month price. The Bollinger Band base spot price was near $87,000 and has since fallen back to around $80,000, nearing the end of the month. Analysts warn that the recovery is imminent, as historically, failure to return to this level has often indicated significant downside risk.

The one-month Bollinger Band base has been a dividing line for long-term market trends over the past decade. In the past 12 years, each month's closing price below this level has signaled the start of the second phase of a bear market. Bitcoin has tested and fallen below this base for three consecutive months, and this pattern typically only transitions into a bull market after a decisive rebound at the end of the month.

Key Bitcoin Price Levels to Watch

If the monthly closing price is confirmed below the $85,000 to $88,000 area, deeper weekly support may emerge, with the first major downside target around $50,000.  The weekly moving average, a level reached in every bear market cycle, marks the bottoms of January 2015 and December 2018.

TRON (TRX) has extended its decline amid a widespread cryptocurrency market pullback.


Prices have dropped further from recent highs near $0.32 and could slide to lows of $0.25.


Market conditions, including Bitcoin’s performance, will dictate overall movement.


Latest market data shows the TRON token slipping below key support levels at $0.30, with this coming amid downward pressures related to geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty.


This comes as reduced risk appetite impacts top coins. Broader market losses tied to jitters around souring US-EU trade relations have spooked investors.


On Tuesday, Bitcoin dropped below $90,000 and Bitcoin briefly slid to $87,800.


Ethereum slid to under $3,000 amid sharp losses for US stocks, while Solana, BNB and XRP all fell below key support levels.


TRON price slips below $0.30


As crypto caught a bid last week, TRON’s price jumped to $0.32.


However, with bulls retreating across the market, the altcoin has once again breached the critical $0.30 support level.


Volume-driven selling has accelerated the drop, with the token now trading near $0.29 as of writing.


The 24-hour trading volume is up 22% to over $770 million.


This slip echoes patterns seen in late 2025, when TRX hovered around $0.28 to $0.30 amid similar market hesitancy.


While the token showed signs of pulling higher,  it generally has underperformed the broader crypto index.


The repeated test of the psychological support and resistance zone highlights indecisiveness.


Technical analysis: What next for TRON?


TRX displays weakening bullish momentum on the daily chart.


As can be seen,  the MACD signals a reversal with the histogram contracting.


Meanwhile, an RSI near 47 signals a potential acceleration towards oversold territory.

By contrast, it notes U.S. reserves also largely originate from forfeitures, but with periodic sales or auctions, making the balance more fluid. The key watch item is whether China formally surpasses the U.S. and what signals emerge around any future custody, management, or sale of those assets.
