Ethereum Pullback Puts $2,222 to $2,036 Support Zone in Focus

Ethereum may be entering a wave two pullback, with chart analyst Man of Bitcoin pointing to a support area between $2,222 and $2,036. The setup mirrors a similar view on Bitcoin and suggests $ETH could face more short term downside before any stronger bullish continuation appears.

The 4 hour chart shows Ethereum trading near $2,311 after pulling back from the recent local high around the $2,380 area. The analyst marked the current move as a possible corrective decline, with Fibonacci support levels stacked below price. Those levels include $2,222, $2,166, $2,111, and $2,036, which together form the main support zone for the expected wave two retracement.

At the same time, the chart keeps a broader bullish structure on the table as long as $ETH holds that lower area. A white projected path shows the pullback finishing before a possible push higher in a larger wave three move. However, if Ethereum loses the $2,036 level, the chart opens room for a deeper drop toward lower downside targets shown near $1,755 and $1,387.

For now, the analysis suggests Ethereum remains in a correction phase rather than a confirmed breakdown. The key question is whether buyers step in between $2,222 and $2,036. If they do, the pullback could stay within a bullish wave structure. If not, downside pressure may grow and push $ETH into a much deeper retracement.

Momentum is building in Washington for the long-awaited CLARITY Act, with JPMorgan (JPM) pointing to signs that negotiations may be nearing a breakthrough.

JPMorgan said discussions among lawmakers and regulators suggest the legislation is close to completion, with only a small number of issues still unresolved in a Wednesday report.

One senior policy official noted that the list of contentious items has narrowed from roughly a dozen to just “2–3 issues,” while debate around stablecoin rewards is now “in a good place.”

The CLARITY Act is designed to define how digital assets are regulated in the U.S., including how oversight is divided between agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). It also addresses how stablecoins and decentralized finance platforms should be treated under existing financial rules.

Lawmakers involved in the discussions struck an optimistic tone. A Senate staffer familiar with the process said the draft legislation is “very close,” with remaining questions around areas like DeFi oversight and token classification potentially resolved in the near term, according to the report.

One of the most closely watched debates centers on whether stablecoin issuers should be allowed to offer yield-like rewards to users. The issue has drawn pushback from banks, which argue such features could replicate deposit-taking without the same regulatory safeguards.

The latest proposals could find support from both crypto firms and traditional financial institutions, according to JPMorgan.

Bitcoin’s rally toward $75,000 is running into a wall of supply just as institutional demand is holding steady.

The move higher has been driven largely by macro flows rather than a broad surge in speculative activity. U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have continued to draw consistent inflows this month, including roughly $240 million in a single session following geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, according to market maker Enflux.

That bid helped lift $BTC from around $71,000 to the mid-$70,000s, even as traditional markets absorbed rising oil prices and shifting rate expectations. The pattern, Enflux noted, reflects allocation behavior rather than momentum chasing.

But as bitcoin pushes higher, the character of the market is starting to change.

On-chain data suggests supply is beginning to emerge more aggressively as prices approach a key cost-basis level for short-term holders. Around $76,800 sits the so-called realized price for recent buyers, effectively the average entry point for traders who accumulated during the last phase of the drawdown, according to CryptoQuant. In weaker market regimes, that level has often acted as resistance, as investors who were previously underwater use rallies to exit at breakeven.

It should be noted that the same band capped January's bounce almost to the dollar before prices reversed toward $60,000.

CryptoQuant said bitcoin exchange inflows spiked to roughly 11,000 $BTC per hour, the highest since late December, as prices tested the $75,000 to $76,000 range.

Technical analysis from crypto analyst Javon Marks has drawn attention to a Fibonacci-based framework that, when mapped across Dogecoin’s entire price history, reveals an interesting, consistent behavior. According to Marks, Dogecoin’s previous bull cycles share a pattern where each major rally extended beyond the 1.618 Fibonacci level before reaching a new all-time high.

This behavior was visible in both the 2017 and 2021 cycles. The 2024 to 2026 cycle, however, has been different, as Dogecoin has yet to extend to the 1.618 Fibonacci extension level projected from the previous bear market low.

The chart accompanying the analysis highlights these repeating structures. In the 2017 cycle, Dogecoin’s rally topped out slightly above the 1.618 extension. In 2021, the move went even further, breaking as high as the 2.272 Fibonacci extension from the 2019 low and reaching its current all-time high of $0.7316.

Can Dogecoin Push To The 1.618 Fib Level Again?

The premise of this technical outlook is that Dogecoin’s bull cycle is not over until it breaks above the 1.618 Fib extension. If that extension is reached, the projection is a price rally of over 2,600% from current levels to at least $2.80.

Former Lutnick-run Cantor Fitzgerald donates $10 million to crypto PAC led by Tether exec

Cantor Fitzgerald and Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, have maintained close ties since 2021, when the firm began serving as a custodian for Tether’s reserves.

The Fellowship PAC also spent over $1 million on advertising for candidates, including Republican Senate candidates Nate Morris in Kentucky, Pete Ricketts in Nebraska, and Republican House candidate Clay Fuller in Georgia, according to filings.

Cantor Fitzgerald, the Wall Street firm formerly owned by current U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, donated $10 million to a super political action committee backing pro-crypto candidates as election season ramps up.

The firm made that donation in February to the Fellowship PAC, according to a Federal Election Commission filing. Bloomberg earlier reported the news. Lutnick's sons now run Cantor Fitzgerald.

Cantor Fitzgerald and Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, have maintained close ties since 2021, when the firm began serving as a custodian for Tether’s reserves. During Lutnick's Senate confirmation hearing last year, lawmakers pressed the secretary on those ties as well as his influence over the crypto industry as a whole.

The Fellowship PAC launched in September 2025 with over $100 million in committed financial backing and a goal of supporting candidates who are "committed to transparent and predictable rules for digital assets." Earlier this month, the PAC named Tether U.S. executive Jesse Spiro as chairman.

Crypto PACs as a whole played a pivotal role during the last election season in 2024, raising millions of dollars to back pro-crypto candidates. Another big player, the Fairshake PAC, has amassed $193 million as of January.
