Shiba Inu Price Faces 5% Correction on Daily Chart
On April 18, Shiba Inu ($SHIB) plunged by around 5% on a daily chart despite bullish momentum in the crypto market, sparking panic among the memecoin investors.

At the time of writing this, $SHIB is trading at around $0.000006088 with a drop of 4.82% in the last 24 hours, bursting the hope of a longer rally in the memecoin. The current market capitalization of the memecoin is around $3.6 billion, with a daily trading volume of around $139.88 million, according to CoinMarketCap.

Shiba Inu Falls Again After Hitting Major Resistance at $0.0000064

On Friday, the $SHIB price managed to break above $0.0000063 following a rally in the Bitcoin ($BTC) price. However, the cryptocurrency failed to sustain a rally despite a bullish sentiment in the overall crypto market.

The overall crypto market maintains a bullish sentiment despite isolated drops like the one seen in Shiba Inu. This week, a strong rally in Bitcoin, where $BTC jumped above $77,000, has sparked euphoria in the crypto community. This rally in $BTC has lifted a cumulative market capitalization of around $2.57 trillion. This spike in the biggest cryptocurrency comes from steady institutional inflows through spot exchange-traded funds.

However, Bitcoin ($BTC) also plunged by around 1.37% on a daily chart on Saturday and is currently trading at around $76,181 with a cumulative market capitalization of $1.52 trillion.

Apart from this, major regulatory developments in the crypto sector have provided clarity to crypto innovations. These factors created a favorable environment where risk assets like meme coins gained some attention even during minor corrections.

According to the current price chart, Shiba Inu is following a symmetrical triangle pattern on the 30-minute chart. This pattern shows that the memecoin might go for a breakout once the price soars above the major boundary.

Polkadot recovers 17% after Hyperbridge exploit: Will DOT’s gains continue?

The Hyperbridge exploit caused Polkadot [$DOT] to lose a significant portion of its market cap, but it has since fully recovered.

The altcoin’s price crashed after a hacker minted 1 billion $DOT tokens on Ethereum [$ETH] but only sold them for $237K due to lack of liquidity. The team clarified that the actual loss had ballooned to $2.5 million as the team made efforts to recover the funds.

However, the assurance that Polkadot’s core network security remained intact fueled a 17% price recovery.

What drove $DOT’s price recovery?

A statement released by the team after the exploit assured users of security, as the core network had not been affected. It’s the bridged $DOT tokens on Ethereum.

As a result, the community sentiment returned to 82% bullish from 954.1K voters, as per CoinMarketCap. Consequently, the price of the altcoin rallied from $1.146 to $1.354.

The relief brought about a rebound in network activity. As per Artemis data, the number of transactions increased by 1,400, from 10.5K to 11.9K, in just a day.

Additionally, daily active users (DAU) increased by 1.67x even though the figures remained relatively low. DAU rose from 3,000 to 5,000, indicating users were gradually returning to the network

The Total Value Locked (TVL) also experienced a surge of about 11.29% in a day, while the stablecoin market cap grew to $77.83 million after the massive drop.

Moreover, the altcoin commanded a significant amount of daily trading volume of about $403 million. However, the revenue of the network remained low as it attempted to get back on its feet.

Macro Breakout Signals Possible End Of Bear Cycle

Historically, Bitcoin bear markets conclude once the price begins to steadily climb above the macro downtrend on linear charts. Following yesterday’s daily close, Scient notes that we have officially confirmed a breakout from this primary trendline. This shift in market structure has prompted a strategic search for high-potential setups across various altcoins.

Despite the linear breakout, the question remains whether this move is a genuine trend reversal or a temporary deviation. While the linear chart shows a clear breach of resistance, the log chart tells a different story. Currently, the price is sitting exactly at a major resistance level on the logarithmic scale.
