Capital keeps flooding in as buyers race to lock positions in what many are calling the next Shiba Inu level launch. The reason goes deeper than buzz. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $291 million in outflows as Bitcoin surged past the $74,000 level, creating a notable divergence between price action and institutional fund flows.

The majority of the outflows came from the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), which alone accounted for $229 million in withdrawals. This marks the largest single-day outflow since late March and signals that some institutional investors may be taking profits or reducing exposure.

Despite these outflows, Bitcoin continued its upward movement, gaining around 5% and reaching a four-week high near $75,000. This suggests that other factors, such as spot demand, derivatives activity, or short liquidations, are driving the market higher.

Interestingly, not all ETF activity was negative. BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF continued to attract inflows, extending its positive streak to four days, while newer funds like the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust ETF also recorded steady inflows.

Meanwhile, altcoin ETFs showed modest strength, with Ether funds recording continued inflows and maintaining a positive trend. However, overall sentiment remains cautious, as the Crypto Fear and Greed Index still sits in the “extreme fear” zone.

Analysts suggest that for Bitcoin to sustain a long-term rally, fresh capital inflows and increased derivatives market activity will be necessary to confirm the strength of the current trend.

The current market presents mixed signals, with rising prices on one side and institutional outflows on the other, leaving traders uncertain about the next major move.
