CLARITY Act Odds Crash to 10% Before Senate Return
Odds that the CLARITY Act passes this year have fallen to 10%, according to Galaxy Digital (Nasdaq: GLXY). Injective has launched a live testnet integration with Cardano, enabling the transfer of ADA to Injective and INJ to Cardano. The development, first reported by Cointelegraph, marks a step toward greater interoperability between the two blockchain networks, though the feature remains in the testing phase and has not yet been scheduled for mainnet deployment.

What the Testnet Integration Involves

The integration allows users on the Injective testnet to move Cardano’s native token, ADA, onto Injective, and similarly, Injective’s native token, INJ, onto Cardano’s testnet. This cross-chain capability is designed to test the technical infrastructure needed for seamless asset transfers, potentially paving the way for broader DeFi and Web3 applications that span both ecosystems.

For Cardano, which has historically focused on peer-reviewed research and a methodical development approach, this integration represents another attempt to expand its DeFi footprint. For Injective, a layer-1 blockchain optimized for finance, the move aligns with its goal of creating a fully interoperable and composable financial ecosystem.

Why This Matters for Interoperability

Cross-chain interoperability remains a critical challenge in the cryptocurrency space. Most blockchains operate in silos, limiting the flow of assets and data between networks. Solutions like this testnet integration aim to bridge those gaps, enabling users to access a wider range of applications without needing to rely on centralized exchanges or complex bridging protocols.

Moreover, the Fear and Greed Index, a widely tracked gauge of crypto market sentiment, continues to sit at a reading of 34, squarely in the “fear” zone, as stalled progress on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) tokenization rulemaking added to the bearish mood.

Stockton isn’t confining the thesis to bitcoin alone, extending the “major low” framework to ether specifically. “The good news is that we may have already seen that major low,” Stockton said of ether’s chart, part of a wider technical conversation that also touched Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid alongside bitcoin.

The read is important since Stockton has previously argued that smaller tokens tend to bottom and top in step with bitcoin, making the two largest assets a useful proxy for reading the broader market’s health. If bitcoin and ether are genuinely both closing out long-term downside exhaustion at the same time, it would mark one of the more significant confirmations technical analysts look for heading into a new cycle, rather than just another short-lived relief bounce.

Lido launches $10M LDO buyback – But NEST may remain idle until…
Staking protocol Lido has finally activated its long-awaited automatic $LDO token buyback program. The programme, also known as NEST (Network Economic Support Token), was first floated last year.

According to the project, the program is now live on the mainnet with a daily limit set at $50K and annual purchases capped at $10M.

It seeks to ensure automatic, dynamic $LDO buybacks, taking into account prevailing market conditions. Under the NEST design, only 50% of the daily staking revenue exceeding $109K will be directed to the buyback program.

That translates to a $40 million annual revenue baseline. Anything below that ($109K daily) means there will be no buyback.
That said, the bought $LDO tokens won’t be burned but will be owned by the DAO treasury. The program was previously criticized for being too low compared to other protocols.

For comparison, Hyperliquid is doing about $100M in annual buyback. Aster and Uniswap run a $40M annual program while PUMP eyes $35M. Compared to $LDO’s $10M annual plan, it was 3-10x smaller than other ongoing programs.

Lido’s bumpy buyback start

That said, the current staking rewards were still below the daily average of $109K to trigger the buyback program. According to DeFiLlama, the protocol has been making around $75K in daily revenue in August.
The last time Lido crossed above $109K in daily revenue was back in April 2026 during broader Q2 recovery across the crypto market.

In other words, NEST will truly kick in if broader market sentiment improves. Even so, most experts hailed the dynamic buyback move. Gabriel Shapiro, a pro-crypto attorney, said,

Santiment noted that $XRP Ledger activity was near its lowest levels since 2026 in early July, and stated that the recent surge could be a significant counter-signal for the market.

According to the platform, the simultaneous occurrence of strong on-chain participation and extremely negative investor sentiment creates a scenario that $XRP bulls will want to follow. Santiment claims that if $XRP maintains its current technical structure and demand regains strength, the pessimism prevailing today could be seen as a “buying opportunity at a discount” by cryptocurrency
